Missing Submarine Probe Started By Savvy Twitter Sleuths

Life is full of unforeseen situations. Currently, a frantic rescue attempt is underway for a missing submarine that was attempting to locate the remains of the infamous Titanic. There are five members aboard the U-boat, including businessman Shazada Dawood, his teen son Suleman, diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, explorer Hamish Harding and OceanGate Expeditions CEO Stockton Rush. In addition to the array of organizations, multiple Twitter sleuths are popping up to help.

One of the most integral factors impacting the rescue attempt is oxygen. Currently, there’s less than 24 hours of oxygen left aboard the craft. While adventure was once the primary objective, survival is now the main concern.

OceanGate Expeditions is the same company that believes a trip to the Titanic is a wonderful idea—cue the crickets. Moreover, this is the second journey the sub has made to the doomed vessel.

Be that as it may, on Sunday (June 18), the Titan submersible would commence its sophomore trip. Yes, the boat started its dive toward the wrecked Titanic. However, it was only one hour and 45 minutes later that radio communication with its surface ship, Polar Prince, stopped functioning.

To help bolster the rescue efforts of the Canadian and U.S. coast guards, Twitter is joining the fray. Of course, there are a kaleidoscope of opinions on what’s going on with the missing submarine.

Kid Capri: “You Mad Eminem Does The Black Stuff Better Than You”

Somebody recently told me Kid Capri was white. And I look at The Kid and I say “Nah, no way.” After this fiasco, I had to look again. More on this in a few.

During a recent appearance on Audacy’s Hip-Hop Made podcast, Kid Capri addressed the ongoing debate surrounding Eminem’s credibility within Hip-Hop culture. The discussion revolved around questioning whether Eminem’s skills were truly as GREAT as the media portrayed them to be. Why is this even a thing still?

Oh, that’s right! Trolling interviewers!

In an interview with The Art Of Dialogue, which seems like eons ago, Grandmaster Melle Mel expressed his viewpoint that Eminem’s widespread acclaim is often attributed to his race. He said, “Obviously, he’s a capable rapper. If you was talking about sales, he sold more than everybody. If you talking about rhyme style–OK, he got a rhyme style. But he’s white! He’s white! If Eminem was just another n#gga like all the rest of us, would he be Top 5 on that list when a n#gga that can rhyme just as good as him is 35?”

I don’t see why this is debatable since Eminem himself says the same thing. I present, exhibit A: “White America.”

Kid Capri seemed to take issue with Mel’s perspective AND also disagreed with anyone who had previously criticized Eminem. He stated, “Everybody goes by the popularity of the person instead of the real skill set. Everybody keep going at Eminem because he’s white. You’re mad because he’s doing Black stuff better than you are. Like 50 said. That’s what it is. The boy is nice, you can’t take that from him. Wisely use his name in your mouth every time. That boy is nice. You can not f##k with him on stage at all.”

“The Black Stuff…”

That’s a weird phrase and it smells a bit racist. First of all, Eminem is minding his business, not hurting anybody. Secondly, only somebody outside of the culture would refer to Hip-Hop as “the Black stuff.” And…this is Kid Capri, a DJ King and Hip-Hop legend. Why would he say this that way? I don’t know for sure, but I do know that somebody who shall remain nameless claimed that Kid Capri is white. Well, his mother is Italian. And, from what I’ve been told, his father is Black. I refused to go down the rabbit hole last night. Also, it seemed like there was a jab there directed at Mel. I could be wrong, but it seems like that. But, nobody is really walking around “mad” at Eminem. Em is a legend and he’s one of the G.O.A.T.S. This is more than 25 years of Eminem if you have been tapped in. We love Em. Sheesh.

Anyway, Kid Capri is still doing his thing and I wish that was the focus.

The Kid ignited the night during a recent Juneteenth celebration in New York City. He gathered all the old heads and played timeless classics such as “My Adidas,” “Eric B Is President,” “Slow Down,” “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” and “Ante Up.” The older crowd was instantaneously transported back to their youth, with aged B-boys actually breakdancing on the AstroTurf. Bringing his set to a remarkable conclusion, Kid Capri switched to MC, delivering tracks from his 2022 album, “The Love.”

That was Hip-Hop—not all the back and forth.

Latto Explains Keeping Her Romantic Relationship Private

There’s been widespread speculation for months about Latto’s rumored boyfriend. However, the “Put It On Da Floor Again” rapper chooses to keep her dating life out of the public eye.

Many fans online assume Latto is dating fellow Atlanta-bred rap star 21 Savage, but they haven’t publicly confirmed a relationship.

In fact, 21 Savage denied having a celebrity girlfriend during a Clubhouse conversation last December. In February, Latto also directly refuted claims she was with the I Am > I Was artist.

Fashion and entertainment magazine Cosmopolitan spoke to Latto for a new cover story. The article included the 24-year-old RCA recording artist addressing her decision not to reveal her current boyfriend.

“If something is special to me, I’m going to keep it close to me because everything else has to be front and center about my life,” Latto said. According to Cosmo, the pair have known each other since she was a teenager.

When asked if her boyfriend ever flies out to surprise her at a show, Latto responded, “Yes, that’s definitely happened before, but it’s not a consistent thing. I think we find the beauty in separation sometimes because it makes us miss each other.”

21 Savage and Latto recently shared a stage together on June 17. Hot 107.9’s Birthday Bash ATL concert saw 21 Savage bring out Cardi B. Latto later joined them inside Atlanta’s State Farm Arena for a live performance of “Put It On Da Floor Again.”

T.I.-Directed Film “Da Partments” Headed To Tubi

T.I. stepped behind the camera for a new film starring numerous comedians. The Hustle Gang boss promoted the upcoming film, titled “Da Partments,” on his Twitter and Instagram pages on Tuesday (June 21). The Atlanta-raised entertainer wrote and directed the comedy, which is based in his hometown.

“The wait is almost over!!!!” he tweeted. “Get ready for uncensored, unhinged, unapologetic hood humor at its finest… Fresh out the minds of ones who made it out the trenches & laughed all the way to the bank!!!!”

The 3x-Grammy winner also revealed comedian DC Young Fly co-produced the film, while fellow stand-up comics, Lil Duval and Karlous Miller, served as executive producers. All three men appear in the movie as well.

“And starring the coolest, funniest MFs in Atlanta,” Tip added. “Some you know… & some you should. We all would like to welcome you to… DaPartments!!! Coming soon @Tubi in partnership [with] @SwirlFilm.”

Tubi, the FOX Corporation-owned, ad-supported streaming service, is home to more than six dozen original films, including the Bruce Willis-led “Corrective Measures” and the Noah “40” Shebib-produced “Nightalk.”

In addition to releasing chart-topping rap albums such as 2006’s King and 2008’s Paper Trail, T.I. also acted in feature films such as 2006’s “ATL,” 2010’s “Takers” and 2018’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp.” His television experience includes stints on “House of Lies” and “Genius.”

As for “Da Partments,” the cast features Henry Welch, Arnesto Ross, Throwed Off Juan, Moneybag Mafia, Navv Greene, Tyler Chronicles, Jayski, VVS, Tokyo Jetz, Tokyo Vanity, Ian Foreman, K. Dubb, King Harris and more.

Moriah Mills Slays Zion Williamson: “He CAN’T Get It Up”

Honey! The pearl necklaces are being clutched. Why, say you? Well, because Moriah Mills is vowing to drop a highly anticipated sex tape. Of course, it allegedly is starring her purported star-crossed lover, the illustrious, Zion Williamson.

Among, other things, the former adult actress is highly critical of the number one draft pick. As a matter-of-fact, his so called flaccid member comes under scrutinity. Keep in mind, before the unexpected baby announcement, in the world of Ms. Mills, everything was wonderful.

Previously, as a kept woman, the 32 year-old was living what appeared to be a life of leisure. However, when the Pelicans pro announced the birth of his first child, the devastated lady began to mourn. Discovering, the alleged relationship was merely a fantasy, must suck.

So, how does that saying goes? “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” Yeah, that’s the one. What in the world is happening here? Let’s insert the applicable amount of concern. Many a woman has played the fool. Be that as it may, in Moriah’s case she seems ever more silly cutting up on a public platform. Somewhere, the Power forward seems to still be ignoring all her antics.

For all one knows, this may be reason why Moriah recently went on a Twitter tirade. In it — amongst other allegations — she lodges a big one against Zion Williamson. Could it be, is “erectile dysfunction” something that he is allegedly experiencing?

Check out the above listed screenshots of her salacious tweets. As it stands, MM is on a timeout from Twitter as her account is now suspended.

For these two, what is coming next?

LSU Assistant Coach Gary Redus II Rocks Cardi B-Inspired T-Shirt

“I been ballin’ so damn hard, could’ve went to LSU,” raps Cardi B on Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again” single. Cardi emboldened Louisiana State University’s Gary Redus II to use that line to promote the school’s basketball program.

Gary Redus II, who serves as an assistant coach and recruiter for LSU, immediately embraced “Put It On Da Floor Again” when the song dropped on June 2. At the time, he took to Twitter to seek assistance on a shirt design.

“Somebody put the Cardi bars on a graphic tee I can wear out recruiting in July,” tweeted Gary Redus II. Eventually, the former professional basketball player for several overseas teams got his “Put It On Da Floor Again” tee.

On Monday (June 20), Redus posted photos of himself wearing an LSU Tigers women’s basketball team shirt featuring Cardi B’s “Put It On Da Floor Again” lyrics. The caption read, “Let me know if you need one @iamcardib.”

Gary Redus II then got a co-sign from Cardi B when the Grammy winner retweeted his images to her 30.5 million Twitter followers. The son of retired Major League Baseball player Gary Redus also shared a link to a website selling the “Ballin So Hard Graphic Shirt.”

Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor Again featuring Cardi B peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track’s official music video included a cameo by LSU star Angel Reese. Those HidjiWorld/Latto-directed visuals have amassed over 18 million views on YouTube.

Gary Redus II, Angel Reese, and the rest of the LSU Tigers won the 2023 NCAA Division I women’s basketball championship in April. Additionally, Reese took home the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award.

First-Week Sales Projections For Gunna’s ‘A Gift & A Curse’ Are In

Sergio “Gunna” Kitchens has been one of the most talked about Hip Hop recording artists over the last year. After pleading guilty in a Georgia racketeering case, Gunna recently turned his attention back to the music.

The 15-track A Gift & a Curse album landed on June 16. Over its 45-minute run time, Gunna told his side of the story that had many people claiming the Atlanta native snitched on his YSL Records boss Young Thug.

HitsDailyDouble has crunched the projected sales numbers for Gunna’s A Gift & a Curse. The YSL Records/300 Entertainment-backed LP is on pace to move around 78,000 units in its first week of release.

That expected total will likely be enough for Gunna to claim the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Country singer Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time reportedly pulled in another 100,000 units in its sixteenth week.

Gunna made it to the Billboard 200’s No. 1 position with 2022’s DS4Ever. That album opened with 150,000 units and more than 193 million streams. It was the rapper’s second Number One.

Wunna also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2020. Gunna managed to amass 111,000 album-equivalent units and 144 million on-demand streams for that project’s first-week sum.

Unlike Wunna and DS4Ever, Gunna’s A Gift & a Curse did not feature any other credited artists. “Bread & Butter” served as the album’s lead single. The song peaked at No. 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

JAY-Z Pays Tribute To Pharrell Williams During Joint Performance At Louis Vuitton Fashion Show Debut

JAY-Z joined the star-studded guest list at his longtime friend Pharrell Williams’ debut as creative director at Louis Vuitton. Not only did Hov attend with wife Beyoncé in tow, but he also surprised guests after the show, joining Pharrell for a joint performance.

The duo rocked the stage with their hits, including “Frontin’” and the Neptunes collab “Give It to Me.” JAY-Z naturally made the most of the location, adding “Ni**as In Paris” to the setlist.  Amid all the performances, JAY-Z made sure to give Pharrell Williams his flowers.

“This young man tonight did something extraordinary,” he told the crowd. “I want everybody [to] put one hand in the air. Pay homage to the great skateboard P. Congratulations man, I’m so proud of you.”

Pharrell reflected on his new role in an interview with WDD earlier this week (June 19) ahead of his first collection as creative director.

“Every day, I gotta pinch myself because it’s an appointment, and I was chosen,” he explained. “Pietro saw something, and I’m touched by that and I honor that every day.”

Pharrell continued, “I didn’t go to Central Saint Martins, but I also didn’t go to Juilliard either in music and I mean, we see how that turned out,” the Grammy-winner said. “It’s cool. That’s a very fair observation. But neither did Vivienne Westwood, right? Tadao Ando was self-taught. I mean, he’s the GOAT, right? I only aspire to express myself.”

Kim Kardashian On Why She Removed North’s Ice Spice TikTok: Ye Was Right “In That Instance”

Kanye West has been vocal about his concerns about North West being on TikTok, and it appears Kim Kardashian believes he has a point.

In a new interview, the SKIMS founder explained why she took down the TikTok of her 10-year-old dressed as Ice Spice, rapping to her lyrics. According to Kim, she was initially unaware of the adult lyrics.

“Every day, the kids get to switch off whose music they want to plug in and listen to on the way to school and North was listening to Ice Spice,” Kim began. “And I didn’t know who that was at the time. And I was like, this is the moment when I feel really old and my daughter is now teaching me what’s cool. I then had the idea to put [Ice Spice] in a Skims campaign. So that all came through North and what she liked. I think it’s always tough when you’re co-parenting and someone wants something and someone doesn’t.”

Kim said she was out of town when North asked if she could post the video but allowed the nanny to share it.

“And as soon as I saw the words and everything, I was like, ‘Oh, no no. We’re taking this down.’ She totally understood. So, I think that’s the trial and error sometimes,” she stated.

Kim also admitted that her ex-husband’s concerns over TikTok were not so overblown after all.

“And, you know, then I saw on the Internet, it’s like, ‘Kanye was right.’ You know? And maybe he was, you know?” She added. While she conceded Ye had a point “in that instance,” Kim said she still “will fight” for North West’s right to express her creativity. Check out the clip below.

Kanye Furious Over North’s TikTok Use

“Hey everybody, I just got off the phone with Kim, and I told her to stop antagonizing me with this TikTok thing. I said, ‘it’s never again, Kanye said during an Instagram Live in March, before adding, “I am her father.”

He continued, “I know you don’t respect fathers and the idea of family and media tries to promote something.’ I said, ‘I’m not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok, to be used by Disney.’ I have a say so.”

Kanye began trending on Twitter When North first shared the Ice Spice TikTok. Many users agreed with Kanye’s take, sharing clips of the little girl reciting the line “bet he blowing her back,” from PinkPantheress and Ice Spice’s####, “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2.”

NBA YoungBoy Warns John Gotti III’s Sister Not To Disrespect Him After Racially Charged Threat

NBA YoungBoy has responded to the granddaughter of mafia don John Gotti after she had some words for the rapper following her brother’s fight with Floyd Mayweather, Jr., the grandfather of Youngboy’s son.

After the antic-filled fight on June 11, which saw John Gotti III throwing punches at the referee after being disqualified for holding in the 6th round, Nicolette Gotti, John’s sister, took to Instagram with a scathing and racially charged attack directed towards Floyd’s daughter Yaya, and the father of her child, NBA YoungBoy.

“@floydmayweather your daughter was ran through by a animal with 12 different baby mamas,” she wrote on her IG Story.” “Your little circus animal — [you’re] all a pack of zoo animals… I swear on my kids I’m coming for your daughter. It may be two years, three years from now but I’m coming c###.”

NBA YoungBoy said nothing publicly on the matter until Tuesday night (Jun. 20). In a video the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native said he hates Yaya and told Nicolette Gotti to do her worst.

“I hope you do that b#### the worse way, two three years from now. I don’t give a f### it ain’t my business I hate that hoe,” NBA YoungBoy declared. “And when it come to her daddy, that n#### don’t need to be in my mentions, I don’t f### with him. Your brother lost the fight, every dog have they day man, that’s how it go.”

However, while NBA YoungBoy doesn’t care what happens to the mother of his child, he warned Nicolette Gotti not to disrespect him.

“I idolise your daddy,” he continued. “Man, next time you ever disrespect me, y’all ‘gone have to bomb me. Have a blessed day, beautiful.” Watch the clip below.

Jim Jones Seemingly Responds To Pusha T: “My Name Is My Name”

The Jim Jones and Pusha T rivalry is heating up. The Dipset member appears to have wasted no time answering a purported King Push diss, taking to Instagram with a video response after Pusha T seemed to take a shot at Jones in a new Clipse song. The track premiered while Pusha T walked the runway during Pharrell Williams’ official debut as Louis Vuitton’s new men’s creative director in Paris on Tuesday (June 20).

“Beware of my name, that there’s delegate/You know I know where you’re delicate,” he rapped. “Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it/I will close your heaven for the hell of itYou think it’d be valor amongst veterans/I’m watching your fame escape relevance/We all in a room but here’s the elephant/You chasing a feature out of your element/And those lab diamonds under inspection/The question marks block your blessings/It’s no tombstones in the desert/I know by now you get the message.”

Both Jim Jones and Pusha T began trending on Twitter as fans rushed to share clips of the new track. It didn’t take long for the “We Fly High” hitmaker to reply. However, fans might have a long wait if they’re looking for a response on wax.

“Let me know if they serious cause my name is my name #Capo,” Jim Jones wrote on Instagram, flipping the title of Pusha T’s debut album. He also shared a video. In the clip, Jim Jones doesn’t say a word but laughs hysterically while his song with Dyce Payson, “Come Again,” plays in the background.

“Let me know when they really ready” he wrote on his Instagram Story.

Pusha T Debuts Apparent Jim Jones Diss While Walking LV Runway In Paris

Pusha T has seemingly responded to Jim Jones’ claims that he’s not a Top 50 rapper in the most braggadocious yet classy way, unloading subliminal shots at the Dipset member while walking the runway at Pharell Williams’ Louis Vuitton debut

Pharrell premiered several new songs during his official debut as Louis Vuitton’s new men’s creative director at the iconic Pont Neuf bridge in Paris on Tuesday (June 20). Among them, an unreleased Clipse track that sees King Push warning folks it’s unwise to mention him.

“Beware of my name, that there’s delegate,” he raps. “You know I know where you’re delicate/Crush you to pieces, I’ll hum a breath of it/I will close your heaven for the hell of it.”

Both rappers began trending as other lyrics had fans convinced Pusha T was sending shots at Jim Jones.

“You think it’d be valor amongst veterans/I’m watching your fame escape relevance,” he raps. “We all in a room but here’s the elephant/You chasing a feature out of your element/And those lab diamonds under inspection/The question marks block your blessings/It’s no tombstones in the desert/I know by now you get the message.”

JAY-Z and Beyoncé were among the star-studded guest list and sat front row bobbing their heads as Pusha T walked the runway alongside his brother and Clipse partner No Malice.

Jim Jones Shades Pusha T

Fans have been waiting for a response after Jim Jones shaded Pusha T in April, debating his inclusion on a list of the 50 greatest rappers.

“What has [Pusha T] done that puts him in the greatest rappers of all time besides talk about coke that he probably didn’t get himself?” Jim Jones asked during an appearance on Spotify’s RapCaviar podcast. “He’s nice! He’s nice as s###. He could rap his ass off, but what has he done?”

Taxstone Speaks Defiantly From Behind The Walls: “I’m Not Doing 35”

So, check this out, Daryl “Taxstone” Campbell, the host “Tax Season,” just got slapped with a hefty 35-year prison sentence. What for, you ask? Well, back in 2016, there was this shooting at a T.I. concert in New York City’s Irving Plaza, and turns out Campbell played a major role in it. Crazy stuff, right?

He has spoken and he says he’s not doing it: straight like that.

“Just got 35 years for being victimized and reversing the situation the beauty in it all is ..

I’m not doing 35 .

Be safe tho.”

Apparently, Tax shot four people during the incident. Three of them got injured, including the rapper Troy Ave, and unfortunately, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, Troy Ave’s bodyguard, lost his life. Nasty work, no doubt about it. Tax’s lawyer, Kenneth Montgomery, wasn’t too happy about the sentence, calling it shameful. He’s planning to appeal the decision, so this may be what Tax is talking about. I think he should not talk at all, because he could hurt his case.

Troy Ave and Tax had some serious beef. Things escalated backstage at Irving Plaza before Troy Ave’s performance. Tax seems to suggest that McPhatter was shot by Troy Ave, but the jury saw it differently. I would like to see what they say. Total chaos.

Just when you think things could not get more complicated, it does.

Troy Ave has decided to sue Irving Plaza and Live Nation. He charges they totally failed in their duty to protect him as a performer. On top of that, a pair of fans also decided to sue too, saying they got trampled during the chaos that followed the shooting.

Talk about a complete mess.

EXCLUSIVE: The Game’s Crypto Assets In Priscilla Rainey’s Crosshairs Over $7 Million Judgment

Priscilla Rainey, a former contestant on The Game’s reality show “She Got Game,” continues to seek payment of a $7.1 million judgment against the rap star.

Legal issues arose in 2015 when Rainey accused The Game of groping her while they were shooting the show. Though no criminal charges were filed, Rainey launched a lawsuit against the rapper.

Initially, The Game was found liable for $1.3 million in damages but due to his “disrespect” toward the court, a judge increased the punitive damages six-fold, leading to the total judgment amount of roughly $7.1 million. The Game’s attempt to appeal the judgment was unsuccessful, leaving Rainey free to enforce it.

In Rainey’s latest move, she’s turned her attention to The Game’s cryptocurrency assets. As of June 20, the judgment—including interest—remains largely unsatisfied, with Rainey having collected approximately $402,365.20 from Game’s assets, approximately 5.65% of the judgment’s principal.

Through her post-judgment discovery efforts, Rainey has obtained information that cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase holds funds for Game. Game has been engaged in crypto recently, showing particular interest in non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a relatively new form of crypto asset.

In October 2021, he launched his debut NFT collection titled “Genesis” with OneOf, a green marketplace designed for the music industry. The collection, priced at $25, included two unreleased tracks for his fans. Following the “Genesis” collection, Game launched a second series titled “Elevate the Game,” which offered fans access to two gold NFT cards and a chance to receive a platinum NFT card for $99. Shortly after, he debuted “Master The Game,” a pack valued at $299.

Because of these powerful business moves, Rainey believes Game is hiding assets, which has made it nearly impossible to satisfy the judgment. Rainey has continued to pursue aggressive legal actions to collect on the judgment.

In April 2017, a judge granted her control of a record label Game had set up called L.A. Prolific, and she also won all of the proceeds from his Born 2 Rap album.

Rainey later sought a restraining order against Wack 100 prevent Game from transferring any more of his property and other valuable assets into his manager’s control.

Lil Dicky Plots Return To Music With Soundtrack For His TV Show “Dave”

Lil Dicky intends to release his first project in eight years by the end of this summer. The rapper-turned-TV star announced he’s working on a soundtrack for his FX series Dave in an interview with Variety. The album will feature music heard in the first three seasons of Dave.

“I realized this year, as I took a step back and looked at all the different music that’s made it into the first three seasons of the show, there’s enough here, a great body of work and a project that I can put out as a soundtrack,” Lil Dicky explained. “I think this is such a better representation of Lil Dicky the musical artist than, honestly, my first album even was. People are always like, ‘When can I get that song?’ I think this will be a cool thing for fans who have watched the show. And for people who have never even seen the show, I think they’ll enjoy listening to this as like a body of music.”

Lil Dicky didn’t set a release date for the soundtrack but said, “The sooner the better.” He enlisted the help of producer Benny Blanco to complete the project, which will include 15 to 20 songs.

“Some of these things you’ve seen in the show are 30 seconds,” he noted. “That’s a little too short. It’s not as simple as ‘they all exist and I can just put them on a thing and boom, I can come out tomorrow.’ I want to do it the right way. And again, none of these songs were even mixed or mastered. But I’ll be working on it as fast as I can.”

The third season of Lil Dicky’s show finished airing in May. Every episode of Dave is available to stream on Hulu.

Rick Ross Helps Save Free Clinic With Major Donation

Rick Ross donated more than $30,000 to a free clinic in Fayette County, Georgia to prevent it from closing.

The Maybach Music Group boss presented the Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic with a check for $30,179 on Monday (June 19). Rick Ross’ donation allowed the clinic to continue providing free health services to patients in need in Fayette County.

“A clinic like this means a lot to me,” Rick Ross said, per WSB-TV. “I lost my father at an early age and I felt like one of the reasons I lost him so early is because of his lack of healthcare.”

Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic was struggling to raise enough funds to stay afloat before Rozay’s donation. The clinic managed to collect $19,000, but its goal was $50,000.

The clinic’s executive director Geneva Weaver said Rick Ross made the largest individual donation in its history. Fayette C.A.R.E. Clinic relies on donations, fundraising and grants to stay open.

Rick Ross vowed to help as much as possible. His financial assistance made a difference since the clinic is the only access to medical care for many of its patients.

“The patients that come to this clinic, all of them, their income level is 200% below the poverty level,” Weaver said.

Russell Simmons: Family Woes Include $60 Million Lawsuit Against Ex-Wife & Her Estranged Husband

Russell Simmons was a trending Twitter topic on Monday (June 19) after his daughter, Aoki Lee Simmons, made some scathing allegations against him. Through tears, the 20-year-old Harvard University graduate accused her father of verbal abuse and harassment. She also shared a muted FaceTime call of the Def Jam Recordings legend visibly heated.

Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Kimora Lee Simmons, went on Instagram Live and claimed he was threatening her children’s lives. The family strife appears to have been sparked after their oldest daughter, Ming, wished Kimora a “Happy Father’s Day” instead of Russell. In response, he shared an Instagram Story that appeared to target Kimora, writing, “Stop telling fathers they should have fought harder to see their children & start asking mothers why he had to fight at all.” While Russell has since publicly apologized to Aoki for losing his temper, there’s more to the story.

In 2016, Kimora and Kimora’s then-husband, Tim Leissner, joined Russell’s investment company, Nu Horizons. Together with Asia’s richest man, Li Ka Shing, they invested $15.95 million into the energy drink company, Celsius Holdings. But Russell began to get suspicious when he noticed something off about his shares.

In 2021, Russell wound up suing Kimora and Leissner, alleging the two conspired to fraudulently transfer millions of shares of Celsius to pay Leissner’s legal fees and bail after he was convicted of money laundering in 2018. The problem is the nearly $44 million they agreed to fork over to the government still belonged to Russell.

In court docs obtained by AllHipHop, Russell and Nu Horizons explain the accusations in acute detail. It reads: “In or about June 2018, Defendant Tim Leissner was arrested on a Complaint. Defendant Leissner was released upon a bond shortly after his arrest. On information and belief, the bond was secured by approximately 3,972,659 shares shares of stock in Celsius Holdings, Inc. held in brokerage account number ending in ‘7002’ in the name of Kimora Lee Simmons. This included the Celsius Shares that the Government seeks to forfeit. Defendant Leissner pled guilty on August 28, 2018. When he pled guilty, he had an agreement with the government to forfeit $43.7 million.

“The government agreed to apply the full value of the Celsius Shares to Defendant Leissner’s $43.7 million obligation if the government was able to successfully forfeit the Celsius Shares. On August 28, 2018, the total value of the Celsius Shares, based on the market closing price of $4.20 per share was $13,968,956.41.”

Essentially, Russell alleges Kimora and Leissner used his stocks to pay off the government, something they were never authorized to do. The docs continue, “Unbenownst to Petitioner Simmons, while Kimora Lee purported to negotiate the purchase of Simmons’s interest in Nu Horizons, Defendant Leissner and Kimora Lee were secretly conspiring to sell Petitioner Simmons’s interest in Nu Horizons behind his back.”

Needless to say, the last two years have been complicated for the Simmons family. In the muted video of Russell, he appears to shout, “I’m broke. She stole all my money!” Aoki, however, shared a screenshot disputing the claim, telling her father, “No you LOST it.”

Whatever the case, Russell feels he was wronged enough to take the matters to litigation. In November 2022, Kimora was awarded $100,000 in legal fees as part of the ongoing case after defeating a breach of contract claim. But the case is still pending. As of May, which was when the docs were filed, Russell is still asking the Court to declare Nu Horizons has right title and interest to 49% of the Celsius Shares and to return them to his possession. Finally, he wants the Court to “exclude the Celsius Shares from any final order of forfeiture this Court may issue or, in the alternative, exclude 49% of the Celsius Shares from any final order of forfeiture this Court may issue.”

Taxstone Sentenced To 35 Years In Prison, Blames Troy Ave

Daryl Campbell, also known as the podcaster Taxstone, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for his role in the 2016 shooting at Irving Plaza that resulted in the death of Ronald McPhatter, the bodyguard of rapper Troy Ave. The announcement was made on June 20 following a trial that spanned several weeks.

The shooting occurred at a T.I. concert in Irving Plaza, New York City, in May of 2016. What began as a confrontation between Campbell and Troy Ave escalated into a shooting that left McPhatter dead and several others injured, including Troy Ave himself. The prosecution linked Campbell to the crime through DNA evidence and eyewitness accounts, leading to a guilty verdict on March 23.

Campbell was initially arrested in January 2017 and charged with multiple offenses, including illegally possessing a firearm and second-degree murder. While he pled guilty to the federal gun charges in June 2017, he maintained his innocence in the murder charge until his trial.

Troy Ave was also arrested following the incident and faced charges including attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon. He later testified against Campbell during the trial in exchange for a reduced sentence. Following the testimony, Troy took to social media to rebuff accusations of being a “snitch.”

District Attorney Alvin Bragg stated following the verdict, “Daryl Campbell was convicted of killing a man and shooting three others during a tragic and deadly confrontation in a packed New York City music venue. We will vigorously prosecute anyone who commits this type of deadly violence.”

After the sentencing, Campbell placed the blame on Collins.

Journalist Shawn Setaro was in court when he heard Taxstone utter his final words to the court.

“Half the stuff that was told on the stand by Troy Ave is a complete lie to protect himself from going to jail,” Campbell said.

Boosie Granted Bail; Rapper’s Lawyer Slams His “Outrageous” Arrest

Boosie Badazz received a break from a judge amid his recent legal troubles.

According to ABC 10 in San Diego, Judge Allison Goddard granted bail to Boosie in his federal gun case. Last week, federal agents arrested the rapper after he appeared in a San Diego court to face state gun charges.

San Diego police arrested Boosie for being a felon in possession of a firearm following a traffic stop in May. The state gun case was dismissed on June 14.

The feds quickly apprehended Boosie after the dismissal, accusing him of illegally carrying a pistol during a music video shoot in May. Federal agents allegedly spotted Boosie with the gun on Instagram Live.

Boosie’s lawyer Meghan Blanco criticized authorities for going too far in a felon in possession of a firearm case. She believed the feds were harassing her client.

“It is outrageous that the government decided to swoop on the day that he was going to enter a plea for probation, pull him in federally, detain him and then announce an inability to move forward with their detention hearing, knowing what he had scheduled the following weekend,” Blanco said.

Boosie will not be allowed to travel outside of the United States while out on bail. His next court date is scheduled for June 29.
