Meg Thee Stallion Makes More Money From Endorsements Than Some Rappers Make From Album Sales

Megan Thee Stallion is closing out 2022 riding high on the heels of success. Now she becomes the first black woman to be featured on Forbes’ 30 under 30 covers.

Perhaps the most obvious sign of success is the $13 million dollars she generated in 2022. During a conversation with the business publication, she revealed how she accomplished this financial feat.

Headed by a combination of royalties, ticket sales, endorsements, and merchandise, the Houston hot girl is a dream come true for any marketing department. Her endorsement resume includes the likes of Nike, Revlon, Cash App, and more. Her peers also respect her capabilities.

“She’s so empowering and so sexy,” said Cardi B “She’s mega-million Megan.” Considering her Flamin’ Hot Cheetos SuperBowl campaign was worth an estimated $2 million alone, not only is she living up to Cardi’s high praise but she makes more money off endorsements than some rappers make off sales.

Megan maintains that she is focused on building her brand outside of music. She wants to be remembered for the full spectrum of her artistry.

Despite the ongoing legal battle with 1501 Entertainment, her team at Roc Nation is focused on the future.

“In such a short time, and all the curses in between, she’s still able to smile, hold her head up and continue,” says Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez.

Platinum-selling recording artist Takeoff passed away on November 1, 2022. His family, friends, and fans have spent the last twenty-eight days mourning the late entertainer.

According to reports, Takeoff’s brother, YRN Lingo, shared an emotional message about his sibling. The social media post also included childhood and more recent photos of the two-time Grammy nominee.

“I don’t know where to begin. I honestly still can’t believe it. My big brother. My right hand. My other half. My literal twin. The one I could call upon [any time] no matter what time, weather, [or] situation you were in,” YRN Lingo posted on Instagram.

Lingo also added, “I know God had to meet one of his purest angels because you were one of them. I’m still trying to understand this life thing, just help me and guide me through this hell on earth, ’cause it’s going to be hard, super hard without you, bro.”

A gunman shot and killed Takeoff outside the 810 Billiards & Bowling alley in Houston, Texas. A “Celebration of Life” commencement service for the Georgia native took place at the State Farm Arena on November 11.

Takeoff is best known as one-third of the Atlanta-based Hip Hop trio Migos. The surviving members of Migos – Quavo and Offset – also released personal statements about the passing of their groupmate and relative.

Numerous other celebrities publicly mourned Takeoff over the last several weeks. Offset’s wife, Cardi B, praised her “MotorSport” collaborator. Drake, LeBron James, and Fat Joe also paid tribute to Takeoff following his death.

Megan Thee Stallion Makes History As First Black Woman To Cover Forbes 30 Under 30 Issue

“First BLACK WOMAN on thee cover of @forbes 30 under 30 🔥. Real hot girl s### 💵💵. See you soon, Hotties, love yall,” wrote Megan on her Instagram page.

The long-running financial publication selected the “Savage” hitmaker to front the annual issue after she made the 30 Under 30 list three years ago. Forbes also ran a new feature article about Megan’s growing business empire.

Megan Thee Stallion locked up endorsement deals with Nike, Revlon, Cash App, and Popeyes. The reported $1 million deal with Popeyes includes the fast food chain offering a signature “Hottie Sauce” condiment. The 27-year-old Grammy winner now owns a franchise as well.

2Pac’s ‘Greatest Hits’ Album Spends 450 Weeks On The Billboard 200 Chart

Even though he died in September 1996, Tupac Amaru Shakur is still one of the most talked about rap stars on the planet. 2Pac’s legion of fans around the country continues to purchase and stream his music to this day.

In fact, 2Pac is still charting in 2022. The late West Coast emcee’s 1998 posthumous compilation Greatest Hits has spent a total of 450 weeks on the Billboard 200 album chart. It currently sits at #94 on the latest rankings of top-selling music projects.

Greatest Hits is the fourth-longest charting rap album of all time. The Death Row Records/Interscope Records/Amaru Entertainment release only trails Drake’s Take Care (508), Kendrick Lamar’s Good Kid, M.A.A.D City (526), and Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits (607).

This year has also seen other major Billboard 200 milestones for Hip Hop acts. Take Care earned Drake a placement in the Billboard 200’s 500-week club last month. J. Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive surpassed the 400-week mark in August. Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ by 50 Cent marked its 150th week on the chart earlier this month.

Tupac Shakur passed away on September 13, 1996, at the age of 25. The rapper/actor, also known as Makaveli, died following a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. That murder case is still officially unsolved.

Prior to his passing, 2Pac dropped studio LPs such as 1995’s Me Against the World and 1996’s All Eyez on Me. The Recording Industry Association of America certified All Eyez on Me as Diamond (10 million units) in July 2014.

Presented as a double disc, Greatest Hits hosts “Keep Ya Head Up,” “Hail Mary,” “Hit ‘Em Up,” “Brenda’s Got a Baby,” “I Ain’t Mad at Cha,” “I Get Around,” “Dear Mama,” and other classic 2Pac singles. The compilation also earned a Diamond Award from the RIAA.

Kanye West Compares Himself To Civil Rights Icon Martin Luther King Jr.

Kanye “Ye” West has not slowed down his media run following controversy over his statements about the Jewish and Black communities. The Chicago native continues to share his opinions with the world.

For his latest interview, Kanye West took the opportunity to compare himself to historic Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. Ye’s appearance on the Timcast IRL podcast probably did not last as long as planned.

“I thought I was more Malcolm X but I found out I’m more MLK. Because as I’m getting hosed down every day by the press and financially, I’m just standing there,” said Kanye West.

The Donda album creator added, “When I found out they tried to put me in jail, it was like a dog was biting my arm. I almost shed a tear, almost.” That comment referenced police officers using dogs to attack non-violent Civil Rights protestors in the 1960s.

Tim Pool agreed with Kanye West by saying, “They have been extremely unfair.” Then Ye asked the host, ‘Who is they though?’ Pool responded, “Corporate press.” West then abruptly left the podcast without providing an explanation for his walk-off.

Ye showed up to Tim Pool’s show along with white nationalist/Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and far-right commentator Milo Yiannopoulos. All three men reportedly met with Donald Trump at the ex-president’s Mar-a-Lago estate which generated backlash directed at Trump.

Over the last several months, West upset members of the Black community by promoting “White Lives Matter” shirts and suggesting George Floyd died from a drug overdose. The 45-year-old rapper then threatened to go “death con 3” on Jewish people.

Multiple corporations, including Adidas and Gap, cut ties with Kanye West following his embracement of antisemitic rhetoric. Ye’s alliance with Nick Fuentes and Milo Yiannopoulos raised some eyebrows as well. Many political pundits consider Fuente and Yiannopoulos to be white supremacists.

Kanye West Compares Himself To MLK, Says “God Is Using Me”

Kanye West continues to cause controversy everywhere he goes, walking out of another interview after disliking his host’s line of questioning, but not before comparing himself to MLK.

The G.O.O.D. Music founder was a guest on the right-wing Timcast IRL podcast on Monday night (Nov. 28), accompanied by white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and alt-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos

Kanye West Says He’s More MLK Than Malcolm X

During the calamitous interview, after claiming “God is using me,” stripping him of his riches to better “serve” him, Kanye West compares himself to Martin Luther King Jr.

“I thought I was Malcolm X but I find out I’m more MLK,” Ye stated. “Because as I’m getting hosed down every day by the press and financially, I’m just standing there. And when I found out that they tried to put me in jail, it was like a dog was biting my arm, and I almost shed a tear. Almost. But I still walked in stride through it.”

Pool appeared to agree, replying, “I think they’ve been extremely unfair to you,” but Kanye pushed back. “Who is ‘they,’ though?” he questioned. “We can’t say who ‘they’ is, can we?”

When Pool clarified that he was referring to the corporate press and not to whom Kanye and his cronies refer to as “they,” alluding to antisemitic rhetoric, Fuentes interjected with, “but it is ‘them’ though, isn’t it.”

However, as Pool attempted to explain, Kanye West stood up and walked off, quickly followed by Fuentes and Yiannopoulos.

Ye Warns He Will Walk Out

Earlier in the interview, Ye promised he would storm out if he was forced to deny “Jewish people” are responsible for his woes.

“To come in here, I feel like it’s a setup to be like, defending. I’m not gonna go through another, like I’m literally gonna walk the F off the show,” he warned. “If I’m sitting up here having to, you know, talk about, ‘You can’t say it was Jewish people that did it.’ When every sensible person knows that.”

Check out the clip below and the interview at the end of the page.

The interview comes in the wake of Kanye West announcing his intention to run for president in 2024 and his chaotic meeting with Donald Trump at Mar-A-Lago. Ye turned up unannounced with Fuentes and Yiannopoulos in tow. He claims the former President “started basically screaming at me” after asking Trump to be his running mate.

Ye brought up Trump during his chat with Tim Pool, stating, “I would’ve never wanted to do anything that hurt Trump. I’m on Trump’s side. Trump said things that hurt me. He lied about me, but I mean, he’s known for lying. And when people used to tell me that he’s a liar, it’s like, you know I went into the trenches for Trump. There was no one else in my position that wore that hat.”

Doja Cat Loves Her Bald Look: “I Have Never Felt More Beautiful”

Doja Cat says she has learned a different side of herself since shaving her head and now feels better than ever.

The “Say So” hitmaker addressed her bald look during a recent interview for Dazed magazine’s Winter 2022 The Beautiful Issue.

The cover star addressed her impulsive nature – she shaved her eyebrows on Instagram Live after debuting her bald do – and her fans take on her adventurous sense of style.

“They’re like, ‘Oh, this can’t possibly be her simply having fun. She has to be out of her mind. She has to be cuckoo,’” Doja cat said. “Also, I have a really bad impulse control; I like to react to things really quick. If I’m in the right mood, or the wrong mood, I will snap back and I’ll have fun doing it.”

Back in August, Doja Cat explained shaving her head because “I feel like I was never supposed to have hair anyway.” Now, despite initially thinking she resembled a “wrinkly penis,” she is in love with her new look.

Doja Cat Says She “Always” Feels Like A Hot Girl

“I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life, which is very strange. I felt beautiful when I had long hair,” Doja Cat explained before adding, “I definitely felt like a hot girl then, but I always do. There’s something so exhilarating about change; [it] showed me a different side of myself. I feel so new, fresh and sexy. I also feel better without make-up: having this bare head and so little make-up is a fun experience. It’s new, and I love it.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Doja Cat also shared her take on beauty, something she wants her fans to learn.

“Now, to me, beauty is going against [what society wants]. I love when you take something that is maybe classically beautiful and twist it and make it your own,” Doja revealed. “For me, it’s more of an ‘are you happy?’ kind of thing. I want my fans to learn they don’t have to be like anyone else and the thing they want is already there. They just haven’t found it yet, and once they do they’ll be like, ‘How the f### did I not see it? How did I miss this?’”

Kanye West Claims He Owes The IRS $50M In Taxes: “They Were Trying To Put Me In Prison”

Kanye West says the Internal Revenue Service is chasing him for unpaid taxes and has put a $75 million hold on his accounts.

The G.O.O.D. Music founder addressed his financial woes during a chaotic appearance on the right-wing Timcast IRL podcast. Ye pulled up to the interview with white nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes and his new presidential campaign advisor, alt-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos

Kanye West would eventually storm out of the interview, but not before he opened up about his financial situation.

After claiming he was planning “to buy my own bank” for $50-75 million, Kanye West revealed his “financial people” advised him, “you’re gonna have to pay a lot of taxes.”

Kanye West Claims IRS Froze $75 Million

“I’m talking about literally finding out that they were trying to put me in prison this morning,” Kanye West claimed. “But I found out — okay, so they froze, they put a $75 million hold on four of my accounts.”

“And then they said, you owe a lot of taxes. Took me like six hours to find out how much. A lot — was it — well, around $50 million,” Ye told host Tim Pool.

After revealing he attempted to find out, “would this be tax evasion?” Kanye West then admitted, “I’m obviously not the most financially literate person on the planet.”

“So now I’m having — I get to actually learn how to run a company. I get to learn how to, you know, to count, really,” Ye said. “It’s like I didn’t even know where to put the money.”

Earlier in the interview, Kanye West said he is unconcerned about a potential jail threat as long as it doesn’t interrupt his presidential run.

“And that made me feel like they’re just waiting, like, ‘We finally got him, we finally can put him in jail.’ And I was like, ‘Can I still run for president in jail?’ I found out I could, so I was like okay, that’s fine then.”

Kanye eventually walked out of the interview after Pool questioned his antisemitic rhetoric. Check out the interview below.

Will Smith Admits “I Lost It” In First Sit-Down Interview Addressing Oscars Slap

Will Smith opened up about the infamous Oscars slap, admitting he “lost it” and can understand if audiences are not ready to receive his return to the big screen.

The superstar actor is on a press run for his new movie, Oscar-hopeful Emancipation, ahead of the Dec. 9 release. The film is his first following his appearance at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony, where he slapped Chris Rock.

During an interview with Trevor Noah on The Daily Show on Monday night (Nov. 28), Will Smith addressed the incident, explaining what drove him to slap the comedian.

Will Smith: “I Lost It”

“That was a horrific night, as you can imagine,” Will Smith admitted, despite winning his first Academy Award. “There’s many nuances and complexities to it but, at the end of the day, I lost it, you know. I guess what I would say, you just never know what somebody is going through.”

“I was going through something that night,” he said before adding, “Not that that justifies my behavior at all.”

Will Smith then explained what he learned from the experience: “We just gotta be nice to each other, man. It’s hard. I guess the thing that was most painful for me, is I took my heart and made it hard for other people. I understood the idea when they say hurt people hurt people,” he said before dabbing his eyes with a tissue moments later.

Noah then defended Smith saying, “everybody can make a mistake,” and calling out the “relentlessly s#####” press he and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, have received.

Will Smith became emotional after his host’s kind words saying, “now I’m crying for real,” again reaching for his tissue.

“I understand how shocking it was to people,” Smith said, admitting, “I was gone, dude. That was a rage that had been bottled for a really long time.”  Check out the clip below and the interview at the end of the page.

During an earlier interview with Fox 5’s Good Day DC journalist Kevin McCarthy, the actor addressed concerns fans may not be here for his comeback.

“I completely understand — if someone is not ready, I would absolutely respect that and allow them their space to not be ready,” Smith said. “My deepest concern is my team – Antoine [Fuqua] has done what I think is the greatest work of his entire career. The people on this team have done some of the best work of their entire careers, and my deepest hope is that my actions don’t penalize my team. At this point, that’s what I’m working for.”

Kanye West Claims 300 Zionists Have Taken Over The U.S.

Kanye West unleashed another scatterbrained monologue when cameras caught up with him in the San Fernando Valley on Sunday (November 27).

‘Ye ranted about God, Hollywood, pornography and other topics in a video captured by X17 Online. Kanye West’s speech included more antisemitic rhetoric.

“Somehow, our country has been taken over by about 300 Zionists,” he said at one point.

Kanye West complained about the power of old money families, the Vatican, Hollywood media and more. He claimed “they” tried to ruin him for spouting conspiracy theories.

“They came to kill me and destroy me,” ‘Ye said. “They tagged me as a racist. They froze my accounts. And God is—Every time something happens that I lose a connection or cut ties, it just leaves more room for God to fill me up. It humbles me. I just appreciate God for using me in this way.”

Kanye West also stood by his past hate speech yet suggested he loves Jewish people. He said he was thankful people saw the backlash to his antisemitism because it supposedly proved he was right.

“I love Jewish people,” he proclaimed. “And I still have issues with some of the business practices. And I’m happy that I was able to stand up and say what I believed in – stand up for my truth and say it out loud. And take whatever hits they had coming for me.”

Iggy Azalea Reveals Major Complications After Undergoing Surgery

Iggy Azalea couldn’t walk for weeks after experiencing complications from back surgery.

The Australian rapper detailed her health troubles in a series of Twitter posts on Monday (November 28). Iggy Azalea said her problems began before she was supposed to fly to her home country to film a movie.

“Right before I left I had what I thought would be a rather mundane surgery on my back to fix the issues I had after touring two summers in a row on an injury,” she wrote. “It didn’t end up being very mundane because I had complications with my recovery & ended up in bed hooked up to a million machines and in so much pain. There are about 3 days I actually just can’t remember at all.”

She added, “I didn’t walk except to use the bathroom (a whole other ordeal lol) for 3 weeks. [And] you’d be shocked to know how weak you can get when you don’t actually move. It happens really fast.”

Iggy Azalea provided fans with an update on her recovery and set a goal for herself. She also mentioned doctors were pleased with her progress.

“A week ago I was cleared to get up and start moving again,” she wrote. “I’ve been seeing someone daily at the house and we do lil workouts (they are so sad y’all lol). I’ve been getting back strong. I will recover 100%. My goal is to be in good health by Christmas.”

She continued, “It’s been very mentally challenging to suddenly not be able to do anything for yourself and have no answers about when you will recover. That was the hardest part but all the Drs have been so happy with how quickly I’m getting better now that I’m back moving & walking.”

Iggy Azalea confirmed she missed out on her movie opportunity due to her health. But she vowed to value her body “in a whole new way after this experience.”

Pusha T Explains How Kanye West Disappointed Him As A Black Man

Pusha T bemoaned his longtime collaborator Kanye West’s antisemitism and alignment with far-right extremists.

The 45-year-old rapper addressed Kanye West’s controversial antics in an interview with the Los Angeles Times. Pusha T denounced hate speech but didn’t indicate if he will ever cut ties with ‘Ye.

“It’s definitely affected me,” Pusha T said regarding Ye’s antisemitic remarks. “It’s been disappointing. As a Black man in America, there is no room for bigotry or hate speech. So yeah. It’s been very disappointing, let’s talk straight.”

Last month, several brands dropped Kanye West due to his antisemitism. He lost his billionaire status after Adidas ended its partnership with him.

Since then, ‘Ye announced another run for president. He also teamed up with alt-right figure Milo Yiannopoulos and white nationalist Nick Fuentes.

Despite the current situation, Pusha T still valued his work relationship with ‘Ye. The Clipse member appreciated the creative freedom he experienced under Kanye West’s watch.

“Creatively, ‘Ye has meant freedom to me,” he said. “A lot of times, people would try to get me to change certain things about my process, change certain things about me lyrically, change certain things about the content. He never has been like that. He always saw me for who I was and knew how to take it to the next level.”

‘Ye and Pusha T most recently worked together on the latter’s album It’s Almost Dry, which dropped in April. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Vivica A. Fox Responds To Kanye Over Campaign Video And Gets Ready For War

Kanye West has launched his 2024 Presidential campaign, releasing videos to talk about his intentions and call out those nay-sayers.

One of the videos was a clip of the Tucker Carlson package from his FOX News “Tucker Carlson Tonight” show, where he had Ye on as a guest.

In the narrative, Tucker played a clip of various celebrities expressing how they felt about Kanye, specifically after he commented about George Floyd and the Jews on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s “Drink Champs.”

Fat Joe, 50 Cent, and others were featured, but he also highlighted Vivica Fox’s remarks.

In the clip, Fox says on her FOX Soul show, “Yo, Kanye. Eff you. And I mean that with everything inside of me. You got to cancel him. And I know we not trying to be in a cancel culture, but we got to hit him in his pockets now. Because he, obviously, doesn’t care about the African American culture.”

The actress-turned-host took offense because he did not use her quote in context and addressed it on her Twitter.

“Now dawling if you gonna use a clip featuring me it should be accurate!” the “Two Can Play That Game” star tweeted. “I was not happy with you [for] saying George Floyd wasn’t murdered, but THANKS 4 watching my @foxsoultv show #CocktailsWithQueens & know 2 Can Play that game.”

As AllHipHop.com reported during the interview with “Drink Champs,” Ye pushed a narrative that Floyd died of a drug overdose of Fentanyl. Fox was not the only person upset. So was Floyd’s child’s mother and also basketball player Stephen Jackson.

Ye did sort of apologize for his remarks about Floyd. He said, “Black Lives Matter came out and made us come together as a people. Now, afterward… yes, there was some… there are some things [about] where the money went. There are some things where was used in order to push us to the Democratic vote. They were people behind that that happened [but] the general feeling… so when I said that and I and I and I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt my people, it hurt the Black People, so wanna apologize to them because right now.”

He continued, “Because right now, God has shown me by what Adidas is doing and by what the media is doing, I know how it feels to have a knee on my neck now.”

“Thank you, God, for humbling me and letting me know how I really felt, because how could the richest black man ever be humble other than to be made to not be a billionaire in front of everyone off of one comment,” he then said. “Actually, if you look at the definition of Death Con, it means to get extra defense I must’ve needed… yeah.”

Fox followed up her initial tweet with more, letting people know while she is booked and busy, she has no problem showing her love for Black men … and will not tolerate the disrespect of Black people from anyone.

Kanye’s original video has since been removed from his Twitter profile.

Cardi B Threatens Anyone Joking About Takeoff’s Death

Cardi B issued a warning to trolls while her family continued to grieve Takeoff’s death.

The Atlantic Records rapper threatened to kill people who made light of Takeoff’s passing. Cardi B emphasized her lack of tolerance for jokes in a voice note posted on social media.

“We not in the mood to be f###### playing around with y’all, deadass,” she said. “I will deadass kill y’all. Stop f###### playing.”

Cardi B believed people were “starting to feel a little bit comfortable with trying to be funny” about the fatal shooting of Takeoff. The lack of discretion concerned her because her husband Offset was still struggling to cope with the death of his fellow Migos member.

“We’re living our life normally, but deep down inside, our hearts have been so heavy,” Cardi B said. “And I feel like if I talk about – the internet so desensitized. I feel like if we talk about how we really feel and what m############ really been going through, y’all will start saying, ‘Oh, sympathy. Oh, sympathy.’ And we don’t want no sympathy. We ain’t no charity case.”

She added, “But no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy, trying to make him crack a smile. [I] f###### see him randomly cry, see him trying to distract his mind.”

Takeoff was shot and killed in Houston on November 1. He was 28.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock Links With Hit-Boy For New New Music

Little Mix was among the most prominent British pop girl groups about a decade ago.

But a few years ago, the group went on a hiatus after some members could not see eye to eye.

Now, one of the more famous members of the group, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, is breaking out on her own— creating a solo music project and has tapped one of Hip-Hop’s most popping producers to help her bring her dream to light.

According to the Daily Mail, Pinnock will be working with Hit-Boy, the songwriter and producer behind the success of Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, and most recently with, Nas, helping the Queens native to receive his first Grammy Award.

The outlet says she started recording tracks with Hit-Boy, whose real name is Chauncey Hollis, earlier in 2022 and is really coming up with stuff that matches who she sees herself to be.

Sources have said, “Leigh-Anne has been working out what sort of music feels best for her, and she’s been making great progress.”

“A lot of the songs have a heavy R&B vibe, and others have strong hip-hop influences. It’s the music she listens to the most, so it makes sense to follow that path,” the insider continued before adding, “Leigh has great names working with her, so she is on to a winner.”

We know it is gonna be fire because when a demo of one song leaked, her record label, Warner Music, went bonkers. The source said it was an “extremely early demo.”

J Prince Jr. Associate Arrested…Are Cops Squeezing Him For Info On Takeoff?

A man named Joshua Cameron Isiah was arrested on November 22, 2022. He has been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and felony weapons possession.

According to court documents, Isiah was carrying a weapon on the night of Takeoff’s murder. He supposedly has a strong connection to J. Prince Jr. He is believed to be an associate of Mob Ties Records.

Furthermore, the internet is running wild with speculation. Many believe he is the man seen on video standing close to Prince Jr at the dice game and was the first person to open fire at 810 Billiards & Bowling alley where Takeoff was killed.

Following Takeoff’s untimely demise, Houston Police Chief Troy Finner expressed wanting to meet with people involved in the local Hip-Hop scene and beyond. Considering Isiah’s Mob Ties affiliation, police seem to have a clear sense of direction in the case. They are adamant justice will be served

However, the charges against the 22-year-old are only related to weapons. We have yet to receive any news of a suspect directly tied to the murder. Still, with no bond set, could they be grilling him for more information on Takeoff death?

J. Prince Jr remains quiet on the issue. Nor has he spoken on the recent arrest of Cameron. Stay tuned as this story continues to develop. In the meantime, Cam is due in court on November 28. Takeoff died tragically on November 1st.

Lizzo Says Labeling Music Keeps Black Artists Out Of The Mainstream

Lizzo has spoken out against the racial stigmas in pop music.

While speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the “About Damn Time” singer explained that genres such as R&B were created to keep Black artists out of the mainstream pop genre.

“Genre’s racist inherently,” Lizzo argued. “I think if people did any research they would see that there was race music and then there was pop music. And race music was their way of segregating Black artists from being mainstream because they didn’t want their kids listening to music created by Black and brown people because they said it was demonic and yada, yada, yada.”

The singer continued, “I think when you think about pop, you think about MTV in the ’80s talking about ‘We can’t play rap music,’ or ‘We can’t put this person on our platform because we’re thinking about what people in the middle of America think’ – and we all know what that’s code for.”

While she described pop as a “well-oiled” machine with a “racist origin,” Lizzo acknowledged that she finds it “so cool” how hip-hop and rap artists have broken into the mainstream.

“Rap is running the game,” she said.

Elsewhere in the interview, she responded to criticism of her pop music, saying, “For people who don’t like pop music or don’t like Black artists that make pop music, they may eventually like me. You just gotta get used to me because I’m making good s###. You missing out.”

Rapper Headie One Fights Opps In London Sony Music Building

Two British rappers were in a “terrifying” fight at their record label, scaring administrators, executives, and others in the building.

According to The Daily Mail, on Wednesday, November 23rd (during lunch hours), rapper Headie One and one of his opps got it cracking at the Sony Music Headquarters in London, England.

The 28-year-old artist, who has appeared on the nation’s Top 10 charts, was violently engaged in the company’s canteen, similar to an American cafeteria.

The artists were both up at the label for separate business meetings, but when they saw each other, sources say, it was up. Reports said frightened employees hid under tables as the friction erupted into a brawl.

One person said, “It was one of the most frightening experiences of my life.”

“You don’t expect to go to work and to be dragged into something like this…there was blood on the floor,” the witness explained. “These two people clearly hate one another, but for it to take place while you’re eating your lunch was shocking. There was food everywhere, as well as blood. It was terrifying.”

It is believed that there are gang overtones to the fight because there is a long-running feud between the Tottenham guys and Wood Green guys, two areas of the capital known to be at odds, according to The Daily Mail.

The international music conglomerate took a quick stance on the violence, saying in a statement released on Sunday, November 27th, “Sony Music takes the safety of its staff very seriously. This is now a police matter, so we cannot comment further.”
