Hitman Holla and Cinnamon’s Sextape BREAKS the Internet!

Hitman Holla is a burgeoning entrepreneur. But, is he selling sex? Right now (Dec. 15), he is one of social media’s most suggestive trending topics. This is due to Hitman Holla and Cinnamon’s sex tape. It is breaking the internet.

Currently, this social media snafu comes courtesy of a Snapchat slip. Indeed, social media is a wonderful way to foster a connection. However, sometimes that connect may become too intimate. Thus the dreaded oversharing. As it stands, battle rap alum Hitman Holla is too privy to this.

So, what exactly is happening? The witty rapper admittedly posted the video to his designated Snapchat “close friends” list. Then, some bogus individual screen recorded the intimate encounters. Soon, the buzzard would share the flicks with the world.

To clarify, via Twitter, the Wild N’ Out cast member issues an ardent response. He writes, “Would never disrespect my girl and post something she didn’t agree to or didn’t like.” The witty wordsmith then adds, “like what sense does that make.. but jokes on me okay cool I’ll be fine lol.”

As it stands the couple seems to be madly in love. Their respective Instagram accounts liberally display their partners. Cinnamon seems to have fully recovered from the horrific home invasion. Although, she was shot in the face, she continues to passionately live life

Rowdy Rebel to Epic Records: NO Pay NO More Music!

Recently (Dec. 14), Rowdy Rebel would hop on to social media to issue an ultimatum. There he effectively tells Epic Records, no pay no more music. His entire patience is gone.

First off, back in 2014 the then emerging Brooklynite would sign his major label deal. In December of that same year the “Computers” captivator is sentenced to prison.

To be exact, six years was the sentence. In 2020 the wordsmith returns home to a welcoming public. Therefore, the anxious MC is anxiously looking to collect. Or, so he thought.

Let’s fast-forward to yesterday (Dec. 14). That’s when the lamenting lyricist hops on IG and charges up the stingy label. His candor is everything. He matter-of-factly states, “I’m not dropping no more Music Untill @epicrecords pay me.”

Moreover, he grants more access to his alleged financial straits. The “9 Bridge” rapper writes, “I haven’t received not one check For all the music I put out since 2014.” The communications ends with a candid, “enough is enough.”

So, finally once the “Ain’t My Fault” MC reaps the proper financial compensation he will drop more music. Get your money, Rowdy Rebel!

Hip Hop Albums Dominate RIAA’s Gold & Platinum Year-End Tally

As 2021 comes to an end, the Recording Industry Association of America is looking back at some of the most impactful new music of the year. Several acts scored Gold or Platinum plaques over the last twelve months.

Sixteen albums and ninety-eight songs released in 2021 achieved RIAA certification. The organization named Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album (2x-Platinum) and Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour (2x-Platinum) as the Top Albums.

Olivia Rodrigo also earned the RIAA’s Top Digital Single honor for “Drivers License” (4x-Platinum). Karol G’s KG0516 secured the award for Top Latin Album. Her song “El Makinon” with Mariah Angeliq is the Top Latin Single.

Moneybagg Yo Had The Top-Certified Rap Album Of The Year

While Country, Pop, and Reggaeton captured the leading #RIAATopCertified recognition, Hip Hop did very well too. The chart-topping A Gangsta’s Pain by Moneybagg Yo is one of only four 2021 albums to go Platinum.

A Gangsta’s Pain joined Dangerous: The Double Album, Sour, and Justin Bieber’s Justice on the list of Platinum-certified albums. Twelve music projects reached Gold status this year. Eight of those twelve albums were released by a Hip Hop artist.

24kGoldn’s El Dorado, DJ Khaled’s Khaled Khaled, Kanye West’s Donda, Lil Baby & Lil Durk’s The Voice of the Heroes, Lil Tjay’s Destined 2 Win, Polo G’s Hall of Fame, Pooh Shiesty’s Shiesty Season, and Rod Wave’s SoulFly each crossed the 500,000-unit mark.

Hip Hop Also Went Diamond More Than Once

A handful of Hip Hop stars received their first Diamond Awards (10 million units) this year as well. In addition, Cardi B made history by becoming the first female rapper to have three Diamond-certified songs (“Bodak Yellow,” Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You,” and “I Like It” with J Balvin and Bad Bunny).

“In a landmark year for our nearly sixty-five-year-old Gold & Platinum Program, RIAA awarded more than 100 titles released in 2021 across many genres and styles of music,” states Liz Kennedy, Senior Vice President, Gold & Platinum Program Awards, RIAA.

Kennedy continues, “These awards mark the pinnacle of creative and commercial success in our business and celebrate artists and their label partners who connected so powerfully with their fans and the broader culture this past year. Congratulations to RIAA’s 2021 honorees!”

DaniLeigh Flexes Her Petty Fires Subtle Shot at DaBaby!

Recently, DaniLeigh’s social media stunts alludes to DaBaby’s alleged lack of parental involvement. The emotionally-charged singer flexes her petty. She takes to Instagram and fires off a subtle shot at DaBaby.

To add necessary context, these two have not been getting along too well. A very public and rather tumultuous spat ended with DaniLeigh’s assault charges. Keep that in mind. Consequently, they are learning how to best co-parent their beautiful baby girl.

So now, the “Easy” chanteuse is using social media to take aim at the “Sticked Up” rapper. DL posts a candid photo. She smiles down at her joyful daughter. The accompanying caption reads, “Today, Doing it all alone, but it’s all good cause I love your love baby girl.”

Since then, the “Cravin” crooner has amended the caption. It now reads: “Today, I love your baby girl.” This seems to depict more emphasis on her child and less on her daughter’s dad.

Rick Ross Talks Possible ‘Verzuz’ Matchup With 50 Cent

Last year, Rick Ross went head-to-head with 2 Chainz at a Verzuz event. Rozay is currently promoting his latest body of work titled Richer Than I Ever Been, but the Miami representative also addressed conceivably taking part in another head-to-head faceoff.

As part of a press run for the new album, Rick Ross did a lengthy Q&A with GQ. The interviewer asked Rozay about potentially doing another Verzuz showcase with his longtime adversary Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

“You got to ask yourself would [50 Cent] come and do a Verzuz with Rozay,” responded Rick Ross. “I mean, you got to ask yourself honestly, would he come and stand next to Rozay in the arena or wherever it would be?”

Ross continued, “That’s really your question. I don’t even think it’s a question of if I would do it. That s### light.” When pressed about suggesting 50 Cent is “light” work, Ross added, “Come on, now. I helped the views on his shows. On TV, he didn’t do nothing, man.”

Verzuz has presented matchups involving former rivals like Nelly vs Ludacris, Brandy vs Monica, Jeezy vs Gucci Mane, and The Lox vs Dipset. The most recent event, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony vs Three 6 Mafia, briefly got physical over tension between the two groups.

Rick Ross is not the first Hip Hop star to talk about possibly battling 50 Cent at a Verzuz. Both T.I. and Ja Rule have been mentioned as viable opponents for the executive producer of the Starz network’s Power franchise and BMF series.

Meanwhile, Rick Ross is focusing on pushing his Richer Than I Ever Been album. The project features Benny The Butcher, Wale, Future, DreamDoll, Blxst, Jazmine Sullivan, 21 Savage, Wiz Khalifa, and more. Richer Than I Ever Been follows 2019’s Port of Miami 2.

“Legendz Of The Streetz Tour” Organizers Sue Boosie Badazz Over Concert Brawl

Boosie Badazz may need to turn his attention away from criticizing openly gay performer Lil Nas X and focus more on pending litigation. The Baton Rouge-raised rapper is reportedly facing a lawsuit for an on-stage fight in Atlanta.

According to TMZ, “Legendz of the Streetz Tour” organizers are suing Boosie Badazz (born Torrence Hatch Jr.) over the melee that took place inside the State Farm Arena. Boosie was removed from the tour’s lineup following the brawl on October 1.

The celebrity news outlet reports:

[MN2S Corp. and We Are Live Entertainment] claim before the show Boosie contacted We Are Live president, Leonard Rowe, demanding more dough than what was agreed upon. Rowe declined to pay more, and they allege Boosie threatening to torpedo the whole thing … and then followed through.

TMZ

Apparently, the plaintiffs in the case claim Boosie Badazz damaged equipment, fought with security, and cause the rest of the show to be canceled. MN2S Corp. and We Are Live Entertainment are reportedly seeking $525,000 in damages.

Boosie Is Also Facing Criminal Charges In ATL

The State Farm Arena free-for-all also led to Boosie Badazz getting arrested. He was reportedly charged with criminal damage to property, inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespass. The Fulton County Jail released Boosie on bond.

A preliminary Atlanta Police Department incident report reads:

On 10/2/21, around 12:41 am, officers responded to 1 State Farm Drive in reference to a vandalism call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party, Benjamin Brown, who stated Torrence Hatch Jr. and several of his associates ran onto the main stage during an event and began damaging items that belonged to his production company. Benjamin Brown further stated as the males exited the arena, they began destroying property belonging to the arena. There were no injuries reported. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation continues.

Wizkid & Burna Boy Reunite On New Song “B. D’Or”

Wizkid and Burna Boy have joined forces on the new track “B. D’Or.” The track marks their first joint single following their collaboration on “Ginger” from WizKid’s hugely successful “Made In Lagos” album.

The duo first debuted the song, produced by P2J – who also worked on the hit song “Essence” – during Burna Boy’s surprise appearance on the final night of Wizkid’s sold-out run at O2 Arena in London earlier this month. “B. D’Or” is inspired by the Ballon d’Or, the trophy awarded annually to the year’s best footballer.

Burna Boy took to Instagram on Tuesday (Dec. 14) to announce news of his song with fellow Nigerian hitmaker Wizkid.

“Big tune out now ft my FAMILY @wizkidayo 🦅🦍 link in bio #BDOR #BALLONDOR”

Wizkid Is Apple Music’s Artist of the Year (Africa)

Earlier this month, Wizkid spoke to Apple Music about his incredibly successful 2021 and plans for the coming year. He was the platform’s most-streamed African artist on the continent and won Apple Music’s award for Artist of the Year (Africa).

While touted as a trailblazer for his recent success, Wizkid remains humble.

“I don’t see it like that, I don’t think I’m the first through it,” he told Apple Music. “I don’t know what I did, but it just kicked the door open.

He continued, “I feel like everyone’s about to come through right now. There’s about to be loads of records from Africa. That feels good because the truth is, people are tired of listening to the same s###. They want some real s###.”

Moreover, Wizkid revealed the creative process for his breakout single “Essence” featuring Tems was an organic one.

“We wasn’t thinking about no commercial success or anything like that,” he admitted. “We was just trying to make good music. So I think maybe that’s why people really like that record like that, because it just comes from the soul. Just natural, organic s###.”

Jacquees Drops “Land Of The Free” Following Viral National Anthem Performance

The self-professed King of R&B lit the internet on fire with his rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Jacquees performed America’s national anthem at a Los Angeles Lakers game on December 3.

Twitter users had a field day posting about Jacquees’s take on Francis Scott Key’s poem-turned-song. However, the Georgia native flipped the online attention into “Land Of The Free” featuring 2 Chainz.

“Ima Always Get The Last Laugh 😂😂👑,” tweeted Jacquees overnight. He then began retweeting numerous Twitter users who praised his new record.

Popular remix producer iMarkkeyz created Jacquees’s “Land Of The Free” track. Previously, iMarkkeyz made the Billboard charts in 2020 after creating the über-viral coronavirus remix song using Cardi B’s voice.

“‘Land Of The Free’ is now available @escapetracks. Oh yeah, and I added my patna @2chainz too! We Lit! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👑👑👑👑🔥🔥🔥 s/o @imarkkeyz and everybody who been making this go VIRAL❤️🚀let’s go!” wrote Jacquees on Instagram.

Jacquees is likely best known for his 2016 single “B.E.D.” which has earned 2x-Platinum certification from the RIAA. His debut studio LP, 4275, landed in 2018. That was followed by the King of R&B project a year later.

Blackground Records 2.0 Teases New Aaliyah Music With The Weeknd

Several projects from Aaliyah’s discography became available on streaming services for the first time in 2021. The late R&B songstress’s One In A Million album even charted in the Top 10 for the first time as a result of the digital re-issue.

It appears Blackground Records 2.0 is preparing to drop more Aaliyah music in the near future. On Tuesday afternoon, the record label’s verified Twitter account teased #AaliyahIsComing.

“Can you crack the code?” read a tweet posted by Blackground along with a link to aaliyahiscoming.com. After visitors crack the code, the site displays cover art for a song titled “Poison” with The Weeknd.

Blackground Records 2.0 did not confirm when the duet will come out on DSPs. As of press time, The Weeknd has not mentioned the “Poison” single on his official social media accounts.

Prior to her passing in 2001, Aaliyah released three studio LPs – 1994’s Age Ain’t Nothing but a Number, 1996’s One in a Million, and 2001’s Aaliyah. The posthumous I Care 4 U compilation album arrived in 2002.

If “Poison” drops before January, The Weeknd will end his 2021 with another high-profile collaboration. This past 12 months saw the Canadian singer work with Doja Cat, Kanye West, Lil Baby, Post Malone, and others.

Freddie Gibbs Reportedly Beat Up By Jim Jones: Akademiks Reacts

Jim Jones and Freddie Gibbs ran into each other in Miami last night (Dec. 14) resulting in a fight, according to reports.

Vladtv say sources revealed that the pair and their respective crews got into it Monday night with Gibbs and his entourage coming out on the losing end. The clash began after they bumped into one another accidentally at the exclusive Miami eatery Prime 112.

Jim Jones and his people were exiting the restaurant as Freddie Gibbs and his crew made their way inside. According to Vladtv, Jim initiated a conversation, addressing some of the negative comments Gibbs has sent his way in the past. One of Jim’s entourage is then said to have punched Freddie Gibbs in the face before the “Alfredo” rapper began throwing blows himself. Freddie’s bodyguard also took some kicks and punches to the face during the fracas.

The two rappers have some history and traded words online in the past. Back in 2014, Gibbs called Jones a “wanna be Blood” gang member. Not long after that Gibbs was shot at while outside a Brooklyn record store, and just hours later, Jones was tweeting about the need to be careful in Brooklyn.

DJ Akademiks has his own social media beef with Freddie Gibbs and immediately reacted to the reports.

DJ Vlad tweeted a link to his report of the fight: “EXCLUSIVE: Freddie Gibbs and Crew Reportedly Beat Up by Jim Jones’ Crew at Prime 112”

Ak retweeted the post just six minutes later, clowning Gibbs in the process.

“WTF…. ME AND HIM WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A BOXING MATCH… HE ALREADY CAUGHT A CASE OF DA BEATS??? WTFFFFFFF”

He continued, “Freddie Gibbs definitely tellin his police officer dad and District Attorney brother on Jim Jones.”

Before asking, “.@FreddieGibbs ARE YOU OK??”

Foogiano Indicted For Weapon Possession In South Carolina

Gucci Mane’s artist Foogiano is facing more legal trouble.

According to the Greenville News, Foogiano has been indicted on two counts of illegal possession of a firearm by a felon. The charges stem from a deadly concert he headlined at a South Carolina club on July 5, 2020.

A total of 10 people were struck by gunfire at the event, resulting in two deaths. A man named Jarquez Kezavion Cooper was arrested a few days after the concert and charged with murder.

Others alleged to be responsible for the shooting haven’t been caught or publicly identified. Gucci Mane and Foogiano were named in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the estate of Mykala Bell, who was one of the victims.

Authorities said Foogiano wasn’t involved in the gunfire, but he was discovered to illegally be in possession of a weapon that night. Greenville County Sheriff Hobart Lewis also suggested the shooters may have been part of the rapper’s entourage.

Foogiano, whose real name is Kwame Brown, is accused of knowingly possessing a Glock 40-caliber pistol and ammunition despite being a felon. He was indicted in a U.S. District Court in Greenville on Friday (December 10).

The indictment adds to Foogiano’s legal woes as he’s already behind bars for a probation violation. Earlier this year, a judge sentenced him to five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to cutting off his ankle monitor and fleeing the state while out on bond.

Logic Helped Saved Lives With “1-800-273-8255”

Hip-Hop saves lives.

That’s not just a catchy saying but a true fact according to a study by the British Medical Journal.

According to their research, Logic’s GRAMMY nominated song “1-800-273-8255” has directed thousands of calls to the US National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and contributed to a reduction of deaths by suicide.

BMJ further suggests that there are some groups of people harder to reach through traditional means, and the song was a great tool to suggest that people call for help.

The title of the song is actually the hotline number for the prevention service.

One part of the survey was having researchers led by Thomas Niederkrotenthaler at the Medical University of Vienna collect data on what were the motivations for people calling the hotline and if the song had any connection.

By looking at Twitter posts around the time of the song release, the MTV Video Music Awards 2017, and Grammy Awards 2018, they gauged impact.

For 34 days, they measured the posts and hits and noticed that there was an extra 9,915 calls to the hotline, totaling a 6.9% increase. They also observed a slight dip in suicides.

The study was not scientific but did have an interesting assessment.

Those who reviewed the findings noted, “the potential population health benefits of working creatively and innovatively with other sectors, such as the music and entertainment industries, to promote new impactful stories of help-seeking that resonate with broad audiences, leave a visible footprint on social media, and are safe in terms of not featuring potentially lethal actions but rather coping and mastery of crisis.”

There you have it Logic … stop threatening to retire. The world needs you.

9lokkNine Heading To Prison, Begs For Lighter Sentence

Republic Records artist 9lokkNine is asking a judge for a lighter sentence as he prepares to go to prison.

The Florida native could spend up to 97 months behind bars for Paycheck Protection Program fraud and weapon possession. He pleaded guilty to aggravated identity theft, possession of an unregistered firearm and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon in July.

9lokkNine, whose real name is Jacquavius Dennard Smith, is seeking a prison sentence of 60 months or less. In a motion filed ahead of sentencing, he begged for leniency and described the danger he’s faced in his hometown of Orlando.

“By the time I signed [with my record label] I was 18 with 2 million dollars,” he wrote. “My mother was staying on Silver Star still [and] like 3 months after I signed my mother house had got shot up. It’s like when I started getting notice[d] I start receiving hatred… I been shot at numerous of times even at Millenia Mall in broad daylight. A detective stop[ped] by my mother’s house [and] told her to call me because I was in Miami [and] told both of us I have a large amount of money on my head [contract].”

He continued, “That’s why we are here today because I knowingly broke the law even though it was for my protection. Because I would rather face my consequences rather than my family facing me in a casket. I know if I was able to walk [away] from this today I would get security and move far away. You[r] honor I would like you to judge me as Jacquavius Smith and not my stage name ‘9lokkNine.’”

9lokkNine says he will be relocating from Orlando whenever he gets out of prison. In a letter to the judge, his girlfriend’s mother Tonya Hill detailed how he and his family have feared for their lives.

“Even while being incarcerated, Jacquavius is [filled] with sadness and much regret because of the incidents that have occurred, his cars being shot up, his cousin’s house being shot up, people shooting at him outside the mall,” Hill wrote. “I witnessed Jacquavius living in fear of his life and our lives because Jacquavius lives with me, my daughter Rodriyana and I also have a 16-year-old son named KB, and my 2-year-old granddaughter, his child J.S.”

Hill added, “This is why we moved from the west side far out to the east side because everyone knew where we lived and we felt like it wasn’t safe anymore at the previous address.”

9lokkNine is also facing attempted murder and racketeering charges. Both cases are still pending.

Jack Harlow Comes To The Aid Of Kentucky Tornado Victims With KFC

After tornados ripped through Kentucky and killed 74 people, rapper Jack Harlow stepped up to provide some relief to those devastated by the storm.

The Louisville native has partnered with KFC and the chicken company’s parent brand Yum to make a quarter million donation to help people in need.

Community service is not all that KFC and Harlow are doing together.

Terrence Howard Says Jussie Hoax Could Have Started A War Between Blacks And “MAGA” Supporters

Terrence Howard has broken his silence about his former “Empire” co-star Jussie Smollett being convicted of staging a hate crime.

The actor was found guilty on five felony counts of disorderly conduct last week for making false police reports after he staged a fake attack against himself in Chicago in January 2019.

In an interview on Mark Vargas’ “Mark My Words” radio show, his co-star confessed that his feelings about the verdict are complicated as Smollett played his son on the show for six years.

“It’s interesting, it’s an uncomfortable question because anyone that’s aware of the show or my relationship with Jussie would know that Jussie is, for six years, he was my son,” he explained. “He was my son that I had the most difficulty with on that show as far as the character world goes. So you end up getting very close to individuals that you have the most struggle with. Whose characters you have the most struggle with.”

The Academy Award nominee reiterated that he and his family “love” the actor but ultimately respect the jury’s decision in the trial.

“They judged him and found him guilty, 12 of them that judged from a completely unbiased position… you have to respect that,” he continued.

Howard concluded by noting the potential “ugly” outcomes of the situation, saying the 39-year-old’s hoax had the potential to “set the world on fire.”

“If they had gotten away with it, whoever orchestrated it. Whatever was set up. If they got away with it, then we would have the potential of Blacks feeling like they need to defend Black people against MAGA (Make America Great Again), and it could have turned into something very, very scary and very ugly” he said. “People would have gotten hurt and killed, and if that was the case, the blood on someone’s hands would have been massive.”

Rick Ross Offers Lloyd Banks A Deal & Taunts 50 Cent

Rick Ross made an offer to Lloyd Banks in a new interview with GQ.

The Maybach Music Group founder stoked the flames of his longstanding feud with 50 Cent while speaking to the fashion magazine. Rick Ross’ taunting included an attempt to get G-Unit rapper Lloyd Banks on his side in the beef.

“You know it’s rough out there,” he said. “Sometimes you just got to be honest. Tell Lloyd that I’ll let him come to the promised land, and I’ll have a conversation with him. I don’t have no problem with Lloyd Banks.”

Rick Ross also threw some jabs at 50 Cent’s television empire. He mocked the idea of getting into acting while claiming to know how much his rival got paid for a Starz series.

“There ain’t enough money in acting,” Rozay declared. “That’s what I was just saying. Your man made $250k for the season doing that. That little season, Starz TV s###. What channel is it really?”

After being told it was indeed Starz, Rick Ross pressed on with his insults. He advised 50 Cent to do a deal with Diddy’s Revolt network instead.

“I really was joking,” he said in regards to mentioning Starz. “He should’ve just went Revolt. Just go Revolt next time. Tell Curtis I said, ‘Go Revolt.’”

Rick Ross is currently promoting his new album Richer Than I’ve Ever Been, which dropped on December 10. The 12-track LP features Future, Benny The Butcher, 21 Savage, Wiz Khalifa, Wale and Jazmine Sullivan, among others.
