Drake Faces Federal RICO Lawsuit Over Alleged Streaming Manipulation Scheme

Drake faced a federal RICO lawsuit in New York alleging an illicit scheme to inflate music streams through crypto gambling ties

Drake is at the center of a sweeping federal class action lawsuit that accuses the global rap star and several high profile collaborators of orchestrating an artificial streaming operation designed to boost his music across major digital platforms. Court documents filed on New Year’s Eve outline a Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act case that names the Toronto artist alongside crypto gambling company Stake and popular livestream personality Adin Ross, among others.

According to the complaint two plaintiffs allege that Stake’s tipping feature was used as a financial pipeline allowing defendants to send large sums of money to one another. That money was then allegedly used to fund automated streaming activity commonly referred to as botting in order to inflate the popularity of Drake’s catalog. The lawsuit claims this strategy fabricated demand manipulated charts and distorted recommendation algorithms on platforms such as Spotifywhile suppressing organic artists and misleading consumers.

The filing states that the tipping system allowed defendants to disguise transfers as giveaways while concealing the true flow of funds. Plaintiffs argue these transactions were encrypted and not easily visible to the public which allegedly helped mask the operation. One example cited in the complaint references a $100,000 tip described as a transfer between Drake and Ross in 2023.

The lawsuit further alleges that the operation extended beyond isolated transfers.

Court documents point to December 2024 when Drake partnered with Ross and Stake for what was promoted publicly as the Drizzmas Giveaway. Plaintiffs contend that these high value giveaways were part of a broader pattern of financial coordination tied to artificial streaming efforts rather than simple promotional generosity.

In one of the more eye catching allegations the filing also references a vehicle valued at roughly $220,000 that Stake allegedly gifted to Ross just days before the lawsuit was filed. Plaintiffs argue this gift fits the same pattern of concealed compensation tied to the alleged scheme.

At the heart of the complaint plaintiffs claim Drake acted knowingly and with intent while working alongside willing co-conspirators. The lawsuit alleges that automated bots and streaming farms were deployed across interstate digital pathways to inject inauthentic streams into royalty and recommendation systems. Those inflated numbers plaintiffs argue manufactured popularity diverted revenue and attention and undermined trust in curated music experiences.

No court has ruled on the claims and none of the defendants have been found liable.

As with all civil litigation, the allegations remain unproven and will be tested through motions and potential discovery. Still, the case adds another layer to ongoing conversations around streaming integrity transparency and the influence of money in the digital music economy.

Drake has not commented publicly on the case.

NBA YoungBoy Escapes Drug Charges After Utah Traffic Stop On New Year’s Eve

NBA YoungBoy walked away without charges after Utah Highway Patrol discovered illegal drugs during a traffic stop on Interstate 15. The 26-year-old rapper was riding as a passenger when troopers pulled over the vehicle in American Fork on New Year’s Eve.

YoungBoy avoided arrest because other occupants in the car took responsibility for the contraband. Utah Highway Patrol Sergeant Mike Alexander confirmed that a male driver and female passenger claimed ownership of the drugs found inside the vehicle.

“In consultation with the Utah County Attorney’s Office, it was decided that charges would be screened against those two individuals for the possession of those illicit drugs,” Alexander told reporters. The sergeant declined to release the names of the driver and passenger who accepted responsibility.

Troopers had probable cause to search the vehicle during the Interstate 15 stop. Alexander confirmed that money was also discovered in the car, but investigators found no connection between the cash and the illegal substances.

The incident marks another brush with law enforcement for NBA YoungBoy, who has made Utah his home base in recent years. The Louisiana-born rapper has faced multiple legal challenges in the state since relocating there.

In 2024, he pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a prescription drug fraud scheme that prosecutors described as large-scale. He paid a $25,000 fine after admitting to identity fraud and forgery charges related to illegally obtaining prescription medications from Utah pharmacies.

The rapper also served federal prison time for possession of a firearm as a felon before receiving a presidential pardon from Donald Trump earlier this year. The pardon allowed him to resume his music career and tour schedule.

Alexander said he was not aware of any charges being considered against YoungBoy in connection with this latest incident. The rapper’s criminal history did not appear to factor into the decision, despite his presence in a vehicle where illegal drugs were seized.

The rapper has been open about his past struggles with substance abuse and legal troubles. He spent time in rehabilitation and has spoken publicly about misconceptions regarding his drug use.

The Utah County Attorney’s Office will now review the case against the driver and passenger who claimed ownership of the drugs. No timeline has been provided for when charges might be filed.

Uncle Murda Drags Diddy & Young Thug To Hell With “Rap Up 2025”

Uncle Murda kicked off 2025 the only way he knows how: by calling out everybody in Hip-Hop with his annual “Rap Up” roast, and this year’s 17-minute track is packed with more smoke than a Snoop Dogg tour bus.

From Young Thug allegedly talking to cops to Diddy getting dragged over that Netflix doc and his federal case, Murda didn’t hold back—not even a little.

He opened in Diddy territory and didn’t let up, rapping over the Bad Boy hit “Tell Me” by Total.

Murda brought up the Netflix doc Sean Combs: The Reckoning and the ugly allegations tied to Puff’s name.

“That documentary was diabolical/That s### ruined Diddy’s image, that s### was horrible,” he rapped, while taking aim at Diddy’s sexual preferences and dragging Cassie.

Thugger with bars about that leaked jailhouse audio where the Atlanta rapper was allegedly running his mouth to detectives about Peewee Roscoe, Mariah the Scientist and others.

In fact, Uncle Murda pretty much drags all of Atlanta over the snitching controversy that engulfed the city’s rap scene in 2025

Other artists who get called out include Nicki Minaj, Offset and Cardi B, Big Meech and Lil Meech, Kay Flock, Pras, Shannon Sharpe and others.

If you’re not familiar with Murda’s “Rap Up” series, it’s basically Hip-Hop’s version of a year-end roast.

Every January 1, the Brooklyn rapper drops a long track breaking down the wildest moments in the culture; beef, breakups, court cases, whatever had people talking.

This year, he even threw in some wild celeb gossip, like claiming Cardi B had Stefon Diggs’ baby and that Ja Rule got jumped at a Brandy and Monica show.

Whether it’s true or not, Murda’s not the type to fact-check; he’s here to entertain, and he’s been doing this for over a decade.

At 46, Murda’s still got the streets tuning in every New Year’s Day. Love him or hate him, the dude knows how to keep Hip-Hop talking.

AllHipHop’s 2025 MC of the Year: Malice’s Triumphant Return

Hip-Hop doesn’t hand out grace periods. Time away from the mic is usually treated like exile, and comebacks often arrive soaked in nostalgia rather than relevance. That’s what makes Malice’s return so remarkable. With Let God Sort Em Out, Malice doesn’t sound like an artist trying to reclaim a past throne. He sounds like an MC who never truly left…only evolved. That’s why AllHipHop proudly names Malice our MC of the Year.

From the opening moments of the album, Malice makes it clear this isn’t a victory lap. Over stark, minimalist production, he states plainly, “This the darkest that I ever been.” It’s not melodrama. It’s framing. This is a man who has lived, lost, reflected and returned with purpose.

A Masterclass in Lyricism

Malice has always been cerebral, but here his pen feels even more precise. He raps like every bar has weight because it does. On “M.T.B.T.T.F.,” he draws a clean line between surface-level rappers and true architects of culture: “You n##### is screenwriters, we dreamwriters / Took chains and touched change like King Midas.” It’s classic Malice. He brings the mythology, street economics and self-awareness in one couplet.

What separates him from many of his peers is restraint. There’s no filler, no chasing trends, no unnecessary flexing. Each verse feels surgical. Malice reminds us that lyricism isn’t about how much you say, it’s about how much meaning you compress into a line.

Swagger That Only Maturity Can Bring

One of the most impressive aspects of Malice’s return is his swagger, the calm authority of someone who knows exactly who he is. He doesn’t sound like an older rapper trying to keep up with younger energy. He sounds like a man who understands that dominance doesn’t require shouting.

On “The Birds Don’t Sing,” as he reflects on the passing of his parents, Malice delivers one of the album’s most powerful lines: “Boy, you owe it to the world, let your mess become your message.” That is leadership. It’s the kind of bar that lands heavier because it comes from experience, not theory. As a person that has lost a parent, this song is a hard, but necessary listen.

This is grown-man rap done right.

What Truly Makes Malice Elite

Beyond the bars and the presence, what cements Malice’s elite status is his willingness to live in contradiction. On Let God Sort Em Out, he wrestles openly with faith, legacy, capitalism, trauma and temptation. He doesn’t sanitize his story, nor does he glamorize it. He lets the tension between the worlds breathe.

On “Chains & Whips,” that internal conflict is unmistakable—success and spirituality pulling against each other in real time. Malice doesn’t resolve the struggle for the listener. He documents it. That honesty is rare, especially in a genre that often rewards certainty over complexity.

Most importantly, Malice doesn’t hide behind nostalgia or even behind his brother. Alongside Pusha T, the balance feels restored. This isn’t a reunion driven by brand equity. This is Clipse operating at full strength again.

A Standard-Setter for the Culture

In a moment where attempts at relevance often outweigh craftsmanship, Malice’s return is a reminder of what an MC is supposed to do. He challenged listeners, elevated the art form and roll over comp with a competent rollout.

Malice represents Hip-Hop at its highest level: lyrically disciplined, spiritually complex and unapologetically confident. This is elite MC work.

Malice is AllHipHop’s MC of the Year.

Ryan Coogler Revealed Chadwick Boseman Was Too Ill To Read Blapck “Panther 2” Script

Ryan Coogler revealed that Chadwick Boseman was “too sick” to read the original 180-page script for the Black Panther sequel before his death in 2020, forcing a complete rewrite of the film’s direction.

The Black Panther director opened up during an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, sharing that Boseman never got the chance to read the first draft of the sequel due to his declining health. “I finished it, and I hit him up to read it, and he was too sick to read, bro. That was kind of how the timing was,” Ryan Coogler said. “He was at a place where it wasn’t going to happen.”

Boseman died in August 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer. His passing sent shockwaves through Hollywood and left Coogler with the daunting task of reimagining the sequel without its lead. The final version, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, was released in 2022 and centered on T’Challa’s sister Shuri, played by Letitia Wright, as she wrestled with grief and stepped into her brother’s legacy.

Coogler also shared details about the original storyline, which would have followed T’Challa and his eight-year-old son during a sacred Wakandan rite of passage known as the Ritual of Eight. The father and son would have spent eight days in the wild, stripped of tools, only to be ambushed by “a different version of Namor,” who eventually became the main antagonist in the released sequel.

“It was insane, and Chadwick was going to kill it, but life goes as it goes,” Coogler said. “I loved that script. I put so much into that version of the movie because I felt like I had gotten to know Chadwick as a performer… I threw a lot at Chad in the first Panther, but I realised I was just scratching the surface.”

Despite the heartbreak, Coogler said he found purpose in shifting the story’s focus to the women of Wakanda. “We made a movie about women, and we made that movie while I was nursing a broken heart,” he said.

Now, Coogler is preparing to return to Wakanda once again. A third installment is in the works, and he made it clear that the story is personal.

“I got this movie on my heart,” he said. “And yeah, from the outside looking in, you might say, ‘Man, why this f**king dude making another one of those?’ But that’s totally fine, that question makes sense. And it’s my job as a filmmaker to show why.”

Denzel Washington is the only actor confirmed for Black Panther 3 so far, though details about his character remain under wraps. The sequel’s release date has not been announced.

Teyana Taylor Felt “Super Under-Appreciated” Before Grammy Nod

Teyana Taylor returned to the spotlight and earned her first Grammy nomination with Escape Room, five years after stepping away from music due to feeling “super under-appreciated.”

The multifaceted Teyana Taylor released her fourth studio album in August, marking a personal and professional comeback that she says was entirely on her own terms. The project landed her a nod in the Best R&B Album category at the 2024 Grammy Awards, a milestone she described as deeply personal.

“I think what lured me back was just me coming back on my terms,” Taylor told People. “All I ever wanted was to feel appreciated, and I wanted to feel utilised. I didn’t want to be stuck or put into one box.”

Taylor had announced her retirement from music in 2020 after releasing The Album, citing industry frustration and a lack of recognition. She then pivoted to acting, landing roles in 2021’s Coming 2 America and the 2023 Sundance-winning drama A Thousand and One, which was praised by The Guardian.

But the pull of the studio proved too strong to ignore.

“Everything is happening, everything I ever dreamed of. (It’s) one answered prayer after another,” she said of her Grammy nomination. Though thrilled, Taylor admitted the honor stirred up a mix of feelings.

“You have all these different thoughts and emotions that go through your head where it’s just like, ‘Oh, my God, this is so amazing,’” she said. “Of course, you feel like every project deserved that recognition. What made this one more worthy than the other one?”

She added that the nomination feels like a tribute to her entire discography.

“It’s for every album that I put out that I felt like was underrated or not seen,” she said.

Escape Room was released in August 2023, five years after her previous album and three years after announcing her retirement.

Donald Trump Has New Year Meltdown In Attack Against “Ungrateful Loser” Ilhan Omar & Somalia

Donald Trump capped off 2025 with a vicious social media tirade targeting Rep. Ilhan Omar and Somalia’s entire population over Minnesota’s ongoing fraud investigations.

The president posted his inflammatory remarks on New Year’s Eve, writing: “Much of the Minnesota Fraud, up to 90%, is caused by people that came into our Country, illegally, from Somalia. ‘Congresswoman’ Omar, an ungrateful loser who only complains and never contributes, is one of the many scammers. Did she really marry her brother? Lowlifes like this can only be a liability to our Country’s greatness. Send them back from where they came, Somalia, perhaps the worst, and most corrupt, country on earth. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”

Trump’s outburst came after his administration froze $185 million in federal childcare funding to Minnesota following viral allegations about fraudulent daycare operations. The Department of Health and Human Services announced sweeping changes requiring states to provide “justification and receipt or photo evidence” before receiving federal money.

The controversy exploded when YouTuber Nick Shirley posted a video showing him visiting federally-supported childcare centers around Minneapolis and finding no children present. His footage, which drew tens of millions of views, alleged nearly a dozen daycare centers weren’t providing services while pocketing taxpayer funds.

But the daycare allegations represent just one piece of Minnesota’s massive fraud puzzle. Federal prosecutors estimate the total fraud could exceed $9 billion across multiple state programs. The largest scheme involved Feeding Our Future, a COVID-era nonprofit that prosecutors called “the largest pandemic-era fraud in the United States.”

Aimee Bock, who founded Feeding Our Future, was convicted earlier this year for running a $250 million scam. The group claimed to distribute meals to schools and programs but instead submitted fake invoices and meal counts, raking in millions through administrative fees and kickbacks.

Fraud has also plagued Minnesota’s housing stabilization program, which officials shut down this summer after discovering “large-scale fraud.” Eight people were charged with submitting millions in fake bills, including two Pennsylvanians who allegedly engaged in “fraud tourism” by traveling to Minnesota specifically to commit crimes.

The autism services program faced similar problems, with defendants accused of hiring unqualified staff and paying kickbacks to parents who enrolled their children. Prosecutors said 14 Medicaid services are now under audit and deemed “high risk” for fraud.

Donald Trump has repeatedly blamed Minnesota’s Somali community for the fraud, calling Somali immigrants “garbage” who “contribute nothing.” He ended temporary deportation protections for Somali immigrants and claimed without evidence that “Somali gangs are terrorizing” Minnesota.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has faced intense scrutiny over his administration’s handling of the crisis. Walz defended his response, saying officials have “spent years cracking down on fraudsters” and accused Trump of “politicizing the issue to defund programs that help Minnesotans.”

The Treasury Department is investigating whether stolen funds reached al-Shabaab, a terrorist organization based in Somalia. However, multiple federal investigators told CBS News there’s no evidence taxpayer dollars were directly funneled to terrorists.

Court records show that the defendants purchased cars, property and luxury travel with stolen funds. They also wired millions overseas, including nearly $3 million to accounts in Kenya and additional funds to banks in China.

Republican Rep. James Comer opened a House Oversight Committee investigation into the fraud and announced plans for hearings with testimony from Walz and other officials. As the scandal intensified in December, Walz unveiled a new statewide fraud prevention program.

Donald Trump and his New Year’s Eve attack on Omar recycled his long-standing false claims about her personal life while painting an entire immigrant community as criminals. The president’s inflammatory rhetoric has drawn sharp criticism from Minnesota lawmakers who accused him of demonizing Somali Americans based on the actions of individual fraudsters.

The fraud investigations have resulted in federal charges against 92 people, with 62 convicted so far. FBI Director Kash Patel called the Feeding Our Future case “just the tip of a very large iceberg.”

Ice Spice’s Last Post Of 2025 Becomes A Lesson In Thickness

Ice Spice closed out 2025 with a mirror gym snap that quickly became one of the most talked-about photos of the year.

In the image, she’s standing in a mirror at what appears to be a private gym, turned slightly so her teal workout set hugs her curves and highlights the shape she’s built through consistent work.

Her legs looked strong, her hips rounded, and her waist noticeably tight, giving the whole shot a master class in thickness that practically dared people not to double-tap.

The background of dumbbells and benches stayed simple, but her presence made it clear this wasn’t a casual selfie; it was a year-end statement.

All year long, Ice Spice maintained momentum with music and visuals that kept fans coming back. She released multiple singles in 2025, including “Baddie Baddie,” “Gyatt” with Latto, and “Pretty Privilege,” each of which generated new video content and significant online conversation as she continued to expand her sound.

Most recently, Ice Spice dropped “Thootie,” a collaboration with Tokischa that marked her first recorded verse in Spanish, signaling her expanding artistic range and willingness to push into new styles and audiences.

Top 10 Sexiest Female Rappers Of 2025 (Style, Beauty & Appeal)

She also scored a moment in pop culture with her contribution to The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants soundtrack alongside her voice appearance in the film, and the single “Big Guy” generated its own wave of memes thanks to the catchy “big guy pants OK” line that spread across social platforms late in the year.

No matter how many songs, visuals, and moments she delivered this year, that final picture reminded fans that she carries her presence with the same boldness offstage as she does onstage.

Jennifer Lopez Shakes Off Critics With Booty Fest At Las Vegas Residency

Jennifer Lopez fired back at critics questioning her wardrobe and age during the debut of her new Las Vegas residency Up All Night: Live in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Tuesday.

The 56-year-old performer took a moment on stage to directly address the ongoing scrutiny of her style choices and public persona.

“It is funny, I do laugh at some of the things sometimes, but they do say funny things, too,” she said, brushing off the online commentary.

Lopez, who has long been a fixture in pop culture, didn’t hold back when recounting the kinds of comments she’s received.

“One of the things is, ‘Why when she does pictures does she always smile with her mouth open?’” she said. “‘Why she always do that? Why she smile when she takes pictures like that? Why does she always dress that way? Why don’t she dress her age?’ I was like, ‘Huh?’”

She then addressed the frequent remarks about her revealing outfits with a sharp retort: “And I said if you had this booty, you’d be naked too!”

The Bronx native also reflected on her personal journey since her first Vegas residency, which ran from 2016 to 2018.

“That went by in a blink didn’t it? For those of you who were there on opening night 10 years ago,” she said. “At that time, I had only been married twice.”

She quickly corrected herself with a laugh. “That’s not true. It was only once. Felt like twice,” she joked. “I’m just kidding.”

Lopez, who has been married four times, including to Ben Affleck from 2022 to 2025, told the audience she’s in a better place now. “It’s over and we just, boom, and it’s fine. It’s all good,” she said. “The good news is that I’m learning and I’m growing. We’re in our happy era right now.”

Up All Night: Live in Las Vegas opened December 31, 2025, marking a new chapter in Lopez’s career and personal evolution.

EXCLUSIVE: Megan Thee Stallion Gets Heavy Legal Firepower To Continue Battle With Milagro Gramz

Megan Thee Stallion received powerful legal support yesterday when Clare Locke LLP asked a federal court for permission to file arguments backing her effort to restore a jury’s defamation ruling against blogger Milagro Gramz.

The Houston rapper won her case against Gramz in December, but a judge later threw out the defamation portion of the verdict. Now Clare Locke wants to help her get it back.

Clare Locke told the Southern District of Florida court that Milagro Gramz doesn’t deserve the same legal protections given to real journalists. The law firm said Florida’s retraction statute only covers actual media members who publish content to “further the free dissemination of information or disinterested and neutral commentary.”

Gramz testified she’s an “entertainer,” not a journalist. The jury also found she didn’t “impartially disseminate information” or “provide disinterested and neutral commentary,” according to Clare Locke’s filing.

The law firm explained why it decided to jump into Megan’s legal battle. Clare Locke said its clients regularly suffer “catastrophic reputational harm” from false claims that spread faster than victims can clear their names on social media.

Applying Florida’s retraction law to Milagro Gramz would set a dangerous precedent, Clare Locke argued. The firm said this “would compel many victims of defamation to subject themselves to more defamation as a precondition to seeking justice in court.”

Clare Locke pointed out that influencers like Gramz often use retraction demands to double down on their attacks. This puts defamation victims in an impossible spot – either stay quiet or fight expensive court battles where the odds are stacked against them.

The firm drew sharp distinctions between traditional media and online influencers. Real journalists follow ethics codes and employ legal teams to avoid publishing false information, Clare Locke wrote. But bloggers and influencers just want to “garner attention and clicks as quickly as possible regardless of the truth.”

Megan Thee Stallion and her legal team are seeking to restore the $16,000 jury award that was vacated when the judge dismissed the defamation count.

AllHipHop 2025 News Recap: Rappers & Friends We Lost

In 2025, the Hip-Hop community mourned the loss of numerous beloved figures who shaped our culture. From pioneering artists to industry legends, each departure left an irreplaceable void. This comprehensive recap honors their memories and celebrates their lasting contributions to Hip-Hop culture.

A Pioneer’s Final Bow: Gene “Groove” Allen

The Hip-Hop world lost a true pioneer when Gene “Groove” Allen passed away in February 2025. As a key member of Groove B. Chill, Allen helped bridge the gap between Hip-Hop’s golden era and mainstream entertainment. His memorable role in the cult classic “House Party” showcased his natural charisma and comedic timing, making him beloved by fans worldwide. Allen was working on an EP titled “Bring Back The Party” at the time of his death, a fitting tribute to his lifelong dedication to keeping Hip-Hop’s celebratory spirit alive. His contributions to both music and film demonstrated the versatility that defined early Hip-Hop culture. The Bronx-born artist’s legacy lives on through his work with Groove B. Chill, particularly their hit “Hip Hop Music,” which captured the essence of the genre’s joyful energy during its formative years.

The Architect of West Coast Sound: Nasty Nes Rodriguez

Nasty Nes Rodriguez, founder of “Rap Attack,” passed away on February 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with multiple health complications. His wife Llola Rodriguez confirmed his peaceful passing, marking the end of an era for West Coast Hip-Hop. Nes was instrumental in discovering and promoting Sir Mix-A-Lot, helping launch one of the most iconic careers in rap history. His radio show “Rap Attack” became a launching pad for countless artists, providing a platform when mainstream media largely ignored Hip-Hop culture. Despite facing severe health challenges including pneumonia, heart attack, and kidney failure, Nes remained dedicated to his craft until the end. His family’s GoFundMe campaign highlighted the financial struggles many pioneers face, reminding us of the sacrifices made by those who built Hip-Hop’s foundation. Nes’s legacy as a tastemaker and cultural architect will forever influence how we discover and celebrate new talent.

A Mother’s Unwavering Love: Voletta Wallace

The Hip-Hop community suffered an immeasurable loss when Voletta Wallace, mother of The Notorious B.I.G., passed away at age 78 on February 21, 2025. Born in Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, Voletta became the guardian of her son’s extraordinary legacy after his tragic death in 1997. Through the Christopher Wallace Foundation, she transformed personal grief into community empowerment, focusing on youth education and violence prevention. Her tireless advocacy work ensured that Biggie’s story served as both inspiration and cautionary tale for young people in underprivileged communities. Voletta’s strength and grace in managing her son’s estate while maintaining his artistic integrity earned respect throughout the industry. She understood that preserving Biggie’s memory meant more than protecting his music—it meant continuing his mission to uplift others through storytelling and authentic expression. Her passing marks the end of a remarkable journey of love, loss, and lasting impact on Hip-Hop culture.

Neo-Soul’s Tragic Departure: Angie Stone

The music world was devastated by the tragic death of Angie Stone in a horrific car crash in 2025. As a founding member of The Sequence, one of Hip-Hop’s first all-female rap groups, Stone helped pave the way for women in the genre during its earliest days. Her transition to neo-soul brought critical acclaim and commercial success, with hits like “No More Rain” and “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” showcasing her powerful vocals and emotional depth. Stone’s ability to blend Hip-Hop sensibilities with soul music created a unique sound that influenced countless artists. Her collaborations with D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, and other neo-soul pioneers helped define a generation’s musical landscape. Beyond her artistic achievements, Stone was known for her mentorship of young female artists and her advocacy for women’s rights in the music industry. The sudden nature of her passing shocked fans worldwide, leaving behind a legacy of groundbreaking music and unwavering authenticity that continues to inspire new generations of artists.

Jazz-Funk Legend’s Final Note: Roy Ayers

The passing of jazz-funk legend Roy Ayers in 2025 marked the end of an era for both jazz and Hip-Hop communities. Known as the “Godfather of Neo-Soul,” Ayers’ vibraphone melodies became the backbone of countless Hip-Hop classics through sampling. His tracks “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” and “Searchin'” provided the foundation for numerous rap hits, making him one of the most sampled artists in Hip-Hop history. Ayers’ influence extended far beyond his original recordings, as his live performances and collaborations with Hip-Hop artists bridged generational and genre gaps. His willingness to embrace Hip-Hop’s sampling culture, rather than resist it, demonstrated his understanding of music’s evolutionary nature. Throughout his career, Ayers maintained that music should bring joy and unity, principles that resonated deeply within Hip-Hop culture. His death prompted tributes from Hip-Hop legends who credited him with providing the sonic palette that helped define their sound. Ayers’ legacy lives on in every sample, every groove, and every moment of musical sunshine he created.

R&B Pioneer’s Lasting Impact: Dwayne Wiggins

Dwayne Wiggins, co-founder of Tony! Toni! Toné!, passed away at age 64, leaving behind a profound impact on R&B and Hip-Hop culture. As the group’s primary songwriter and producer, Wiggins crafted the New Jack Swing sound that dominated the late 1980s and early 1990s. His production work influenced countless Hip-Hop producers who incorporated his smooth, funk-driven approach into their beats. Tony! Toni! Toné!’s hits like “Feels Good” and “Anniversary” became staples at Hip-Hop parties and provided sample material for numerous rap tracks. Wiggins’ understanding of groove and rhythm helped bridge the gap between traditional R&B and the emerging Hip-Hop sound. His mentorship of younger artists and producers ensured that his musical philosophy continued to influence new generations. The Oakland native’s commitment to authentic, soulful music resonated throughout the Bay Area’s vibrant Hip-Hop scene. His death represents the loss of a master craftsman whose musical innovations helped shape the sound of contemporary urban music and whose influence will continue to inspire future generations of artists.

Lil Baby Dragged Over Link Up With Andrew Tate During Dubai Visit

Lil Baby encountered controversial influencer Andrew Tate during a recent trip to Dubai, connecting with a figure who has become one of the most polarizing personalities in modern media.

The Atlanta rapper was photographed alongside Tate in what appeared to be a chance meeting in the Middle Eastern city. The encounter brings together two figures from vastly different worlds – Hip-Hop and the so-called “manosphere” movement.

Andrew Tate has emerged as one of the most divisive figures in contemporary culture due to his extreme views on gender roles and relationships. The British-American influencer gained notoriety through his self-proclaimed misogynistic statements, including claims that women belong in the home, cannot drive properly, and should be subservient to men.

His “red pill” ideology promotes the belief that feminism has corrupted society and that traditional masculine dominance should be restored. Tate’s controversial rise began in 2022 when his videos went viral across social media platforms, particularly TikTok, where his inflammatory comments about women attracted millions of views.

His statements have included assertions that women are property, that depression is not real, and that sexual assault victims bear responsibility for their attacks.

These views have made him a lightning rod for criticism from women’s rights advocates, mental health professionals, and mainstream society.

The influencer’s legal troubles have been extensive and ongoing. In Romania, where he relocated to avoid what he called “more restrictive” Western attitudes toward women, Tate faces serious criminal charges, including human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized criminal group.

Romanian authorities arrested him in December 2022 as part of an investigation into allegations that he and his brother Tristan operated a criminal enterprise that exploited women. As of December 2025, Tate’s legal situation remains precarious.

While Romanian courts lifted his house arrest in January 2025 and replaced it with lighter restrictions, the criminal charges against him remain pending.

The case has faced procedural delays, but prosecutors continue to pursue the trafficking and rape allegations. Additionally, British authorities have approved 21 separate charges against the Tate brothers, including rape, assault, and human trafficking, creating a multi-jurisdictional legal nightmare for the controversial figure.

The controversial figure’s recent ventures into combat sports have provided another avenue for public attention.

On December 20, Tate suffered a decisive defeat in his return to boxing, losing by majority decision to Chase DeMoor at Misfits Boxing 23 in Dubai. The fight, which took place at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, saw Tate bloodied and outclassed by his opponent, marking a humbling end to his comeback attempt in combat sports.

The meeting between Lil Baby and Tate drew immediate backlash for the Atlanta rapper. Check out some of the craziest replies.

AllHipHop 2025 Wildest News

This year was crazy. Here are some of the many wild news stories we covered in 2025.

When Fashion Goes Full Medieval: Jaden’s Castle Crown Catastrophe

Leave it to Jaden Smith to show up to the Grammys looking like he raided a dollhouse. The young Smith heir decided that a simple tuxedo wasn’t enough – he needed a literal castle on his head. Yes, you read that right. A CASTLE. Complete with tiny windows and doors, because apparently Jaden’s head is prime real estate. Twitter had a field day roasting this architectural disaster, with fans asking if he was planning to rent out rooms or if this was his way of social distancing. The Louis Vuitton custom piece probably cost more than most people’s actual houses, but hey, at least he’s thinking outside the box. Or should we say, inside the castle? Either way, this fashion choice had everyone wondering if Jaden was having a medieval midlife crisis at 26.

NFL Joins the Drake Roast Session

The NFL decided to pile on Drake’s misery by posting Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” diss on their official TikTok. Because apparently, even professional sports leagues have time to throw shade. When Kendrick performed at the Super Bowl and looked directly into the camera while saying “Say Drake, I hear you like ’em young,” the internet collectively lost its mind. The NFL’s social media team saw this viral moment and thought, “You know what? Let’s make this our problem too.” With 11.5 million views and counting, it’s safe to say the NFL knows how to pick a winning play. Drake probably can’t even watch football anymore without getting PTSD. The comments section was brutal, with fans pointing out that not only did the diss win five Grammys, but now it’s getting Super Bowl treatment too. Poor Drake can’t catch a break anywhere.

Taxstone’s Prison Rope Trick Goes Wrong

Taxstone thought he was starring in a prison break movie when he masterminded a rope-throwing scheme at MDC-Brooklyn. The podcaster-turned-inmate coordinated with his crew to literally throw a rope out the window and reel in contraband like they were fishing for trouble. The haul included marijuana, suboxone strips, a scalpel, cigarettes, lighters, and a phone charger – basically a prison starter pack. Guards caught them red-handed (or should we say rope-handed?) pulling their illegal goodies through the window. This wasn’t exactly Ocean’s Eleven level planning. More like Ocean’s Eleven-Year-Old. The whole operation was so old school that it probably would have worked better in the 1800s. Now Taxstone faces up to 10 more years behind bars, proving that sometimes the simplest plans are also the dumbest ones.

Young Thug’s Lyric Lesson Goes Permanently Wrong

A Young Thug superfan learned the hard way why you should always double-check lyrics before getting them tattooed. The devoted listener permanently inked “Horses don’t stop they keep going” across his back, complete with galloping horses artwork. Plot twist: the actual lyric is “Hustlers don’t stop, they keep going.” Oops. Young Thug himself saw the viral tattoo fail and promised to “talk with more clarity” on his upcoming UY Scuti album. The fan basically forced Thug into speech therapy through permanent body art. This is next-level fan dedication gone wrong. Imagine explaining this to your grandkids: “Well, kids, back in 2025, I thought Young Thug was really passionate about equestrian sports.” The internet had a field day with this one, proving that sometimes being a ride-or-die fan means riding into a tattoo parlor with the wrong lyrics. At least the horses look nice?

Big U’s Snitch List and RICO Denial

Big U decided to air out all the dirty laundry before turning himself in, creating a video that was part confession, part call-out session. The Crips OG named alleged informants while denying RICO charges, basically turning his surrender into a dramatic monologue. It was like watching a real-life episode of “Keeping Up with the Criminals.” Big U’s video went viral faster than gossip at a family reunion, with everyone trying to decode who he was talking about. The timing was perfect – drop the tea, then disappear into the system. It’s the modern version of leaving a strongly worded letter before moving out. Social media detectives worked overtime trying to connect all the dots Big U scattered in his farewell address. This whole situation proved that even when facing serious charges, some people just can’t resist getting the last word in.

NBA YoungBoy’s security team apparently takes their job very seriously – maybe too seriously. When neighbors showed up with cookies (yes, cookies), the armed guards allegedly held them at gunpoint. Because nothing says “threat assessment” like grandma’s chocolate chip cookies. The whole situation sounds like a rejected Saturday Night Live skit. Imagine being so paranoid that baked goods become suspicious. The neighbors were probably just trying to be friendly, maybe welcome the new famous neighbor with some homemade treats. Instead, they got the full military treatment. YoungBoy’s team was clearly operating under the assumption that cookies could be weapons of mass destruction. This incident proves that sometimes being overly cautious crosses the line into being completely ridiculous. Next time, maybe just politely decline the cookies instead of treating the Cookie Monster like a security threat.

Michelle Obama’s Love & Hip Hop Crossover

Michelle Obama and Momma Dee in the same sentence was not on anyone’s 2025 bingo card, but here we are. The former First Lady somehow got connected to the Love & Hip Hop universe, creating the most unexpected crossover since peanut butter met jelly. This collision of high-class politics and reality TV drama had everyone doing double takes. It’s like watching your sophisticated aunt suddenly start throwing drinks at a family barbecue. The internet couldn’t decide if this was the most random thing ever or if it actually made perfect sense. Michelle Obama has always been relatable, but this takes it to a whole new level. Momma Dee probably gained more respect points in one day than most politicians get in a year. This unexpected connection proves that hip-hop culture really does touch every corner of society, even the most prestigious ones.

Sexyy Red’s Zoo Adventure Goes Wild

Sexyy Red’s zoo visit turned into a real-life nature documentary when she almost became a tiger’s lunch. The rapper’s close encounter with the big cat had everyone questioning zoo safety protocols and Sexyy Red’s decision-making skills. Did she think the tiger wanted to collaborate on her next track? The whole incident was caught on camera, giving us front-row seats to what could have been a very different kind of viral moment. Zoo officials probably had to update their safety briefings after this visit. “Please keep all rappers at a safe distance from the predators.” Sexyy Red handled it like a champ though, probably adding “tiger whisperer” to her resume. This incident proves that even a simple zoo trip can turn into an adventure when you’re a celebrity. Next time, maybe stick to the petting zoo section.

Dave Blunts’ Concert Controversy

Dave Blunts created a concert moment that had everyone hitting the rewind button for all the wrong reasons. The rapper’s decision to encourage white fans to use the N-word during his performance sparked immediate controversy and had social media in an uproar. Concert-goers probably didn’t expect their night out to turn into a cultural sensitivity seminar. The incident went viral faster than you can say “career suicide,” with fans and critics alike questioning Dave Blunts’ judgment. This is the kind of moment that makes publicists quit their jobs and managers reconsider their client roster. The rapper’s attempt at crowd participation backfired spectacularly, proving that some lines should never be crossed, even in the name of entertainment. This controversy will probably follow Dave Blunts longer than any of his actual songs.

That Mexican OT’s Rodeo Disaster

That Mexican OT learned the hard way that bulls don’t care about your rap career when he got brutally attacked at a Texas rodeo. The rapper’s encounter with the angry bull was like watching a real-life cartoon, except way more painful. OT laughed it off afterward, probably because he was still in shock or heavily medicated. The bull clearly wasn’t a fan of his music and decided to give some very physical feedback. This incident proves that rappers will literally do anything for content these days. “Hey, let me just casually get trampled by a 2,000-pound animal for the gram.” The fact that he survived and laughed about it makes him either incredibly tough or incredibly lucky. Either way, this rodeo adventure gave him a story that no other rapper can top. Next time, maybe stick to safer venues, like actual concert halls.

Tory Lanez’s Prison Nightmare

Tory Lanez’s prison experience took a violent turn when details emerged about him being stabbed 14 times. The Canadian rapper’s incarceration went from bad to absolutely terrifying in record time. Prison clearly isn’t the vacation some people think it is. Tory probably wishes he could trade places with any other celebrity scandal right about now. Getting stabbed 14 times sounds like something out of a horror movie, not a typical Tuesday in prison. The details that emerged painted a picture of just how dangerous his situation had become. This incident serves as a stark reminder that fame and money don’t protect you once you’re behind bars. Tory’s legal troubles have escalated into life-threatening situations, making his previous controversies look like playground disputes. The rapper’s survival story is both shocking and sobering.

Cassie’s Mom and the Diddy Drama

Cassie Ventura’s mom got pulled into the Diddy drama when reports surfaced about loan payments and tape threats. The family dynamics in this situation are messier than a reality TV show plot. Cassie’s mother found herself in the middle of what sounds like a Hollywood thriller script. The alleged tape threats and financial pressure created a situation that no parent should have to navigate. This whole ordeal shows how celebrity scandals can drag entire families into the chaos. Cassie’s mom probably never imagined she’d be dealing with this level of drama when her daughter started dating a music mogul. The loan situation adds another layer of complexity to an already complicated legal battle. This story proves that sometimes the people closest to celebrities pay the highest price for fame’s dark side.

New Orleans Inmate’s Celebrity Help Request

An escaped New Orleans inmate shot his shot by begging Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, and President Trump for help. Talk about aiming high with your emergency contacts. The desperate fugitive’s plea for celebrity assistance was both creative and completely unrealistic. Imagine being so desperate that you think Lil Wayne is going to personally come rescue you from your legal troubles. The inmate’s strategy of name-dropping every famous person he could think of was like playing celebrity bingo with his freedom. Meek Mill probably got the message and thought, “Sir, this is not how prison reform works.” The whole situation reads like a comedy sketch about misunderstanding how celebrity influence actually works. This guy’s escape plan apparently included a social media campaign, which is definitely not in any prison break manual.

R. Kelly’s Aryan Brotherhood Claims

R. Kelly’s latest legal strategy involves claiming the Aryan Brotherhood wants him dead, which sounds like the plot of a very dark prison movie. The disgraced singer’s demand for release based on death threats adds another chapter to his ongoing legal saga. Kelly’s prison experience has apparently become a survival horror game, and he’s looking for any exit strategy possible. The Aryan Brotherhood threat claim is serious business, but coming from R. Kelly, everything feels like another manipulation attempt. His legal team is probably working overtime trying to figure out how to handle these latest developments. Prison politics are no joke, but Kelly’s credibility issues make every claim questionable. This situation shows how quickly prison can become a life-or-death environment, even for celebrities. The singer’s desperation for release is palpable in every legal filing.

Mello Buckzz Party Shooting Tragedy

Mello Buckzz’s party turned into a nightmare when a shooting left four dead and 14 wounded. What was supposed to be a celebration became a crime scene that shocked the hip-hop community. The tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of how quickly violence can erupt in party settings. Mello Buckzz probably never imagined his event would end in such devastating circumstances. The shooting statistics read like a war zone report, not a party recap. This tragedy highlights the ongoing issue of gun violence plaguing hip-hop events and communities. The rapper’s name will forever be associated with this horrific incident, regardless of his involvement. Party security clearly failed catastrophically, allowing multiple weapons into what should have been a safe space. The hip-hop community lost more than just lives that night – it lost another piece of its innocence.

H#### Kong’s Church Shooting Revelation

The Kentucky church shooter’s rap career under the name “H#### Kong” added a bizarre twist to an already tragic story. The revelation that the shooter was an aspiring rapper created uncomfortable questions about the connection between music and violence. “H#### Kong” sounds like a rejected cartoon character, not a rapper’s stage name. The irony of someone who claimed to be inspired by hip-hop committing violence in a church is deeply disturbing. This incident forced uncomfortable conversations about mental health, radicalization, and the responsibility of artistic expression. The rapper’s music probably didn’t age well after this revelation. Church shootings are already horrific enough without adding failed rap careers to the mix. This story shows how quickly someone can go from creating music to creating tragedy.

Benzino’s OnlyFans Adventure

Benzino decided to launch an OnlyFans account to show off his body, because apparently 2025 is the year everyone becomes a content creator. The veteran rapper’s pivot to adult content creation had fans doing double takes and questioning their life choices. Benzino’s OnlyFans announcement probably broke the internet for all the wrong reasons. The idea of paying to see Benzino’s body content is either someone’s dream come true or their worst nightmare. This career move puts him in the same category as reality TV stars and Instagram influencers, which is quite the pivot from his rap career. His OnlyFans bio probably reads like a mid-life crisis manifesto. The subscription numbers will either prove there’s a market for everything or that some ideas should stay in the drafts folder. Benzino’s entrepreneurial spirit is admirable, even if his business model is questionable.

MO3 Shooter’s Presidential Pardon Hope

The alleged MO3 shooter’s hope for a Donald Trump pardon shows just how wild presidential pardon expectations have become. The shooter’s legal team apparently thinks presidential intervention is a viable defense strategy, which is either brilliant or completely delusional. Trump’s pardon history has created unrealistic expectations for every criminal in America. The MO3 case involves serious charges, making a presidential pardon extremely unlikely, but hope springs eternal in legal defense strategies. This situation highlights how politicized the justice system has become when criminals start planning their defense around presidential elections. The alleged shooter’s pardon request probably got filed under “not happening” faster than most legal documents. This case shows how celebrity murders intersect with politics in the strangest ways. The legal system has become so unpredictable that even the most outlandish strategies seem worth trying.

Drake’s OVO Store Hammer Attack

A woman’s hammer rampage at Drake’s OVO store took fan dedication to a whole new level of destruction. The incident involved someone literally trying to burn down Drake’s retail empire with a hammer, which sounds like the world’s most inefficient arson attempt. Drake’s store closure probably wasn’t in the business plan, but neither was having customers show up with construction tools and fire. The woman’s rampage was like watching someone have a very public breakdown in the most expensive way possible. OVO merchandise is pricey, but apparently not worth committing felonies over. This incident proves that Drake can’t catch a break anywhere – not even in his own stores. The hammer-wielding customer probably thought she was making a statement, but mostly just made a mess. Store security clearly wasn’t prepared for hardware store weapons and amateur arson attempts.

Drake’s BBL Rumors and Jail Time Threats

Drake’s BBL rumors reached a point where he had to set the record straight about his body and threaten jail time for false claims. The Canadian rapper’s posterior became a topic of national debate, which is probably not how he envisioned his 2025 going. Drake threatening legal action over butt enhancement rumors is peak celebrity problems. The BBL speculation got so intense that Drake had to become his own body’s defense attorney. Social media detectives were analyzing every photo like they were investigating a crime scene. Drake’s legal team probably never thought they’d be drafting cease and desist letters about buttock procedures. The whole situation proves that no part of a celebrity’s body is safe from internet speculation. Drake’s threat of jail time for BBL rumors shows just how seriously he takes his natural assets.

Bhad Bhabie’s Car Hood Battle

Bhad Bhabie’s battle with Le Vaughn escalated to car hood dramatics, because apparently ground-level fighting is so last year. The “Cash Me Outside” girl took her beef to new heights – literally – by climbing on car hoods during the confrontation. This fight looked like a deleted scene from a Fast and Furious movie, except with more yelling and less actual driving. Bhad Bhabie’s car hood performance was either impressive acrobatics or concerning behavior, depending on your perspective. The whole incident was caught on camera, giving us front-row seats to automotive combat. Car insurance companies probably have a special clause for “rapper-related hood damage” by now. This battle proves that when you run out of ground space, the car becomes your stage. Bhad Bhabie’s commitment to winning fights extends to using any available surface as a battlefield.

Damon Dash’s Breakfast Club Threats

Damon Dash’s heated Breakfast Club interview turned into a legal threat festival that had everyone reaching for their lawyers’ phone numbers. The Roc-A-Fella co-founder’s appearance became more courtroom drama than morning radio show. Dash’s legal threats flew faster than morning traffic reports, creating the most tense breakfast radio moment since someone accidentally played explicit lyrics at 7 AM. The Breakfast Club hosts probably wished they had served actual breakfast instead of legal drama. Dash’s interview strategy seemed to be “threaten first, answer questions later,” which made for compelling but uncomfortable radio. The legal action threats turned a simple interview into a potential lawsuit preview. This appearance proves that some guests come with more baggage than a cross-country flight. Damon Dash’s Breakfast Club visit will be remembered more for the threats than any actual information shared.

Nicki and Cardi’s Family Feud Escalation

Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s feud reached new lows when family members and children became targets in their ongoing battle. The rap queens’ beef has escalated beyond music into personal territory that makes reality TV look tame. Their feud has more plot twists than a soap opera and twice as much drama. Social media became a battlefield where every post could be interpreted as a subliminal shot. The involvement of family members turned this from entertainment into something genuinely concerning. Both rappers’ fan bases are probably exhausted from keeping track of all the back-and-forth accusations. This feud has lasted longer than some marriages and shows no signs of ending. The spiral out of control aspect suggests that neither side knows how to de-escalate, making this hip-hop’s most toxic ongoing storyline.

Ice Cube’s Tour Bus Fire Investigation

Ice Cube’s tour bus fire investigation results delivered shocking updates that had everyone questioning what really happened. The fire bombing investigation turned into a mystery worthy of a crime documentary series. Ice Cube’s tour probably didn’t include “survive potential arson” on the itinerary, but 2025 has been full of surprises. The investigation results were apparently shocking enough to make headlines, which means this wasn’t your typical tour bus mechanical failure. Fire bombing sounds like something from an action movie, not a hip-hop tour reality. The shocking update probably revealed details that no one saw coming, adding more questions than answers. Ice Cube’s team probably upgraded their security after this incident, because tour bus fires are definitely not part of the standard concert experience. This investigation proves that even legendary rappers aren’t immune to bizarre and dangerous situations.

Nicki’s Political Takedown of Gavin Newsom

Nicki Minaj’s political commentary about Gavin Newsom and trans kids support created a controversy that crossed entertainment and political lines. The rap queen’s “destruction” of the California governor showed that celebrity political opinions can create massive waves. Nicki’s political takes are apparently as bold as her music, which means they’re guaranteed to spark debate. The intersection of hip-hop and politics always creates interesting dynamics, especially when it involves controversial social issues. Nicki’s commentary probably had political analysts scrambling to understand the celebrity influence on policy discussions. The “destroys” language suggests this wasn’t a gentle disagreement but a full-scale verbal assault. This situation highlights how celebrity voices can amplify political debates, for better or worse. Nicki’s political engagement shows that rappers are increasingly willing to wade into complex social and political waters.

Jam Master Jay Murder Case Reversal

The Jam Master Jay murder case took another dramatic turn when a judge overturned Karl Jordan Jr.’s conviction in the Run-DMC DJ’s killing. This decades-old case continues to produce shocking developments that keep the hip-hop community on edge. The conviction reversal means the search for justice in Jam Master Jay’s murder continues, leaving more questions than answers. Legal experts probably need flowcharts to keep track of all the twists and turns in this case. The overturned conviction suggests there were significant issues with the original trial, which is both concerning and hopeful for finding the truth. Jam Master Jay’s family and fans deserve closure, but this legal rollercoaster keeps extending their wait for justice. The case has become a symbol of how complex and lengthy murder investigations can become, especially in high-profile situations. This reversal proves that even seemingly resolved cases can take unexpected turns.

Stefon Diggs Accused Of Smacking, Strangling Female Chef In Beef Over Pay

Stefon Diggs finds himself at the center of serious criminal allegations as disturbing new details surface from a Dedham Police Department report regarding his December 2 arrest.

The New England Patriots star wide receiver now faces felony strangulation charges and misdemeanor assault and battery charges following an incident at his Massachusetts home.

According to the police report obtained by Boston 25 News, Stefon Diggs allegedly placed his hands around his personal chef’s neck during a heated dispute over unpaid wages, causing the victim to struggle for breath and feel lightheaded.

The chef told investigators she experienced “the effect of strangulation” and feared she “could have blacked out” during the December 2nd confrontation that occurred just one day after the Patriots defeated the New York Giants on Monday Night Football.

The victim, who worked for Diggs since July 2025, initially hesitated to press charges “due to his fame” but later provided a detailed statement to police describing the alleged assault.

She claimed that Diggs owed her at least one month’s pay and that their employment agreement required weekly payments, though she had been receiving monthly payments instead. Text messages included in the police report show the escalating tension between Diggs and his chef over the money dispute.

“You will be paying me out for the season & the money you said you would give me,” the victim wrote to Diggs.

His response was defiant: “I don’t gotta do a mf thing…You can get whoever you want. You got my address, tell them come take the money.”

The chef told police that during their confrontation, Diggs not only grabbed her neck but also smacked her, leaving her with pain and difficulty swallowing afterward. She described feeling scared for her safety during the alleged attack and said she left her position immediately following the incident.

After the alleged assault, the victim told police she received messages from Diggs asking her to sign a non-disclosure agreement. Police documented multiple attempts to contact Diggs after the report was filed, and his attorney, Michael DiStefano, has requested that the court impound and seal the case details.

Diggs’ legal team has mounted an aggressive defense against the accusations. Attorney David Meier called the allegations “unsubstantiated and uncorroborated,” claiming they stem from an “employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction.”

The Patriots organization released a statement supporting their star player, saying Diggs “categorically denies the allegations” and that the team will “cooperate fully with the appropriate authorities and the NFL.”

The timing of these charges creates additional pressure for the 31-year-old receiver, who signed a lucrative three-year, $63.5 million contract with New England in March 2025. This season, he has recorded 82 receptions for 970 yards and four touchdowns, helping the Patriots secure their first AFC East division title since 2019.

The legal troubles come amid a highly publicized relationship with rapper Cardi B, with whom he welcomed a baby boy in November 2025. The couple went public with their romance earlier this year, and Cardi B was recently spotted cheering Diggs on as he earned a $500,000 contract bonus by reaching 80 receptions this season.

Diggs is scheduled for arraignment on January 23, just two days before the AFC Championship game.

AllHipHop’s Top 10 Films of 2025!

2025 was another strong year for cinema, although that is debatable from film snob. What is not debatable is the year showcased many standout films released both theatrically and via streaming. After recently rewatching many faves and binge watching some others, we have locked in our Top 10. This was not an easy list to formulate.

2025 felt like a year of cinematic overload in the best and most exhausting way possible. Theaters bounced back with ambitious big-screen experiences while streaming platforms flooded the landscape with prestige dramas, genre experiments, and buzzy releases that demanded attention almost weekly. With so many films arriving across multiple platforms and often disappearing just as quickly as they appeared, keeping up became a challenge in itself. Between packed theatrical calendars, surprise streaming drops, and late-year awards contenders, the sheer volume of choices made curating a personal list feel less about consensus and more about connection. In a year where something compelling was always one click or one ticket away, the films that truly stood out were the ones that lingered long after the credits rolled.

For transparency, we did not watch every film released in 2025, including some that earned major critical acclaim. However, based on what we have seen, the films below are the ones that resonated taking into consideration that many were just entertaining and enjoyable. – Chuck Creekmur, Chris Brown and Team AllHipHop

1. Sinners
With 2025’s Sinners, Ryan Coogler delivered a gripping and visually stunning feature set in Southern Mississippi during the Jim Crow era. The film follows twin brothers Stack and Smoke, both portrayed by Michael B. Jordan, who return home after a stint in Chicago. Their search for new opportunities awakens buried trauma along with an ancient evil no one could have anticipated. This phenomenal film features masterful direction, gorgeous cinematography, a haunting blues score, and brilliant performances across the board. One of the most beautifully shot films of the year, Sinners blends folklore, religion, allegory, symbolism, music, vampire-driven horror, thrills and action to earn the top spot as my favorite film of 2025.

2. Magazine Dreams
Magazine Dreams is a raw, unsettling character study anchored by a fearless, powerful performance from Jonathan Majors (watch our interview with Majors here). The film follows an aspiring bodybuilder whose obsessive pursuit of physical perfection slowly reveals deep emotional fractures and simmering rage beneath the surface. Director Elijah Bynum presents an unflinching look at loneliness, masculinity, and the psychological toll of chasing an unattainable ideal. Majors is both mesmerizing and disturbing, fully committing to a role that demands equal parts vulnerability and intensity. Stark visuals, deliberate pacing, and an oppressive atmosphere make this a difficult but deeply affecting watch. Magazine Dreams isn’t designed for comfort or easy catharsis, but its emotional honesty and powerhouse lead performance make it one of the most haunting films of the year.

3. One Battle After Another
Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film delivers excellent storytelling, brilliant acting, timely themes, solid action, and nuanced humor, making it one of my favorite releases of 2025. Leonardo DiCaprio shines as a weathered, paranoid former revolutionary searching for his daughter. While the entire cast is strong, Sean Penn steals the show as the film’s chilling antagonist. Kudos to Chase Infiniti, the daughter, shined bright like a diamond and is arguable the freshman of the year. Gorgeously shot, One Battle After Another, is thematically layered and supported by an impressive score, One Battle After Another is an entertaining and politically charged thrill ride that will keep viewers wondering what just happened.

4. F1: The Movie
Joseph Kosinski’s racing drama delivers high-octane thrills, exciting visuals, emotional storytelling, and fantastic sound design. Brad Pitt stars as a veteran driver mentoring a rising talent played by Damson Idris. While the premise isn’t entirely new, the execution is stellar. Featuring adrenaline-pumping race sequences, strong performances and an electrifying Hans Zimmer score, F1: The Movie checked every box. It’s easily my favorite car-racing film to date.

5. Weapons
Zach Cregger’s Weapons is an incredible slow-burn horror film centered on seventeen children who mysteriously vanish from their homes at 2:17 a.m. in a small town. Told through multiple perspectives, the story gradually reveals its hidden hand before exploding into a shocking and twisted finale. With standout performances across the cast, sharp cinematography, confident direction, and an excellent balance of humor and dread, Weapons completely amazed. It’s one of the most creative, original and entertaining horror films in recent memory.

6. Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
With Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, writer/director Rian Johnson pushes the franchise into darker and more ambitious territory with this moody, ominous and spiritually charged thriller. Set within an isolated religious enclave, the story follows a young priest at the center of a murder mystery, assisted by detective Benoit Blanc. Rooted in secrets, influence and moral ambiguity, the film delivers a rich gothic atmosphere and a compelling whodunit. Strong performances from Josh O’Connor, Josh Brolin, and Glenn Close round out this impressive entry.

7. Frankenstein
Guillermo del Toro finally delivers his long-anticipated passion project, and it was absolutely worth the wait. Frankenstein is a stylish and haunting reimagining of Mary Shelley’s classic novel. Oscar Isaac is compelling as Victor Frankenstein, while Jacob Elordi is tragically captivating as the Creature. Stunning cinematography amplifies del Toro’s gothic vision, creating a powerful visual exploration of grief, obsession, love, and creation. Despite being a Netflix production, this is one of the most gorgeous films released all year.

8. The Long Walk
This adaptation of Stephen King’s dystopian novel is a bleak and gripping tale of survival and humanity. Centered on a deadly walking competition overseen by a fascist regime, the film blends brutal realism with emotional depth. Anchored by strong performances from Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Mark Hamill, and others, The Long Walk is haunting, tense, and unforgettable. It stands as one of the best Stephen King adaptations I’ve ever seen.

9. Marty Supreme
With his second solo-directed film, Josh Safdie delivers one of the most unconventional and electric movies of 2025 with Marty Supreme. A high-stakes character study set within the competitive world of table tennis, the film features kinetic direction, relentless pacing, and a rhythm reminiscent of Uncut Gems. Timothée Chalamet anchors the film with a commanding performance as ambition, ego, and selfishness collide in this frenetic late-year standout.

10. Warfare
A24’s Warfare, co-directed by Alex Garland and Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza, is an unflinching portrayal of modern combat. Released in April, it’s a harrowing film that stayed with me all year. Following a small military unit on a dangerous mission in Iraq, the film immerses viewers in fear, tension, paranoia, and courage. With claustrophobic direction and pristine sound design, Warfare stands as a powerful and unforgettable cinematic experience that didn’t feel like propaganda.

Honorable Mention (Additional Films We Really Enjoyed):

Life of Chuck, The Alto Knights, Ballerina, Black Bag, Bring Her Back, Drop, Final Destination: Bloodlines, Predator: Badlands, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, The Naked Gun, Predator: Killer of Killers, Sisu: The Road to Revenge, The Smashing Machine, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four: First Steps, 40 Acres and Together.

Blueface Puts $1.25M Mansion Up For Sale Amid Mounting Legal Debts & Soulja Boy Celebrates

Blueface dropped his Santa Clarita mansion on the market for $1.25 million this week, and the timing suggests the rapper might be scrambling to cover some serious financial obligations that have piled up during his recent legal troubles.

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles-area rapper listed his 4,303-square-foot home just weeks after his release from jail in November, following 21 months on probation for violating probation. The five-bedroom, five-bathroom property in the Santa Clarita Valley has been the backdrop for numerous viral moments and livestreams since it was built in 2018.

But behind the blue-themed luxury amenities, including a two-car garage, media room, indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit, lies a mountain of debt that could explain why Blueface is suddenly looking to cash out on his most valuable asset.

The rapper currently owes more than $131,000 to Jackilyn Martinez, the mother of Soulja Boy’s child, after losing a defamation lawsuit while he was locked up.

A judge ruled that Blueface’s public comments about Martinez crossed the line into defamation, and the debt has been growing with interest and legal fees. Court records show his music royalties from ASCAP and BMI are now being seized to satisfy the judgment.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Blueface faces a massive $13 million lawsuit over a 2022 shooting outside the Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas.

A Nevada judge ordered him to pay the strip club owner $13 million to cover lost revenues and lease payments after the venue was forced to shut down following the incident. Recent court filings indicate he now owes an additional $1.3 million in interest on the original judgment.

The mansion sale comes at a time when Blueface appears to be feeling the financial pressure. With over $14 million in combined legal judgments hanging over his head, the $1.25 million asking price for his mansion would barely make a dent in what he owes.

But for a rapper who just got out of prison and is facing royalty seizures, every dollar counts when trying to stay afloat financially.

Zohran Mamdani Reveals Lil Wayne Morning Playlist Ahead of NYC Mayor Inauguration

Zohran Mamdani gets pumped up to Lil Wayne tracks every morning as he prepares to become New York City’s next mayor.

The mayor-elect dropped some surprising musical preferences during a recent Interview Magazine sit-down, revealing that his go-to morning playlist includes the legendary rapper, Kim Petras and Madonna.

“My wife prefers calmer music in the morning. I, for some reason, want to listen to Kim Petras or Lil Wayne or Madonna,” Mamdani said during the December interview. “At eight in the morning, it doesn’t make much sense.”

The admission takes on extra significance given Mamdani’s own Hip-Hop background.

Before entering politics, the 34-year-old Democratic Socialist made music under the stage names Young Cardamom and later Mr. Cardamom during the mid-2010s.

His rap videos recently went viral during the mayoral campaign, showing a different side of the politician who’s about to lead America’s largest city.

Mamdani won the 2025 NYC mayoral election in November, defeating several established candidates in what many called a stunning upset. He’ll be sworn in as the 110th mayor of New York City on January 1, 2026, in a public ceremony at City Hall that’s expected to draw 40,000 spectators across seven blocks.

When asked about his fuel for tough days, Mamdani mentioned his weekly limit of sugar-free Red Bull before diving into more substantial motivations.

The incoming mayor has been busy building his administration team, announcing multiple appointments each week as January 1 approaches.

His inauguration will mark the beginning of what he promises will be a transformative administration focused on affordability, including plans to freeze rent for rent-stabilized apartments and provide universal childcare.

Stockton Mass Shooting Update: Reward Grows To $100K As Cops Fail To Make Arrests

Cops still have no arrests one month after masked gunmen opened fire at a 2-year-old’s birthday party in Stockton. The reward money keeps growing while families bury their kids.

Four people died when at least 50 rounds were fired from five different guns on November 29. Three kids and one adult never made it home.

The shooting happened at a banquet hall and wasn’t random. Cops say it was gang-related.

MBNel, a Filipino-American rapper from Stockton, was reportedly the main target. He finally broke his silence three weeks after the shooting. He posted on Instagram to mourn the victims.

“My deepest condolences to the families who had to bury their children, and to the innocent lives lost,” MBNel wrote. “What happened in Stockton has left families carrying an unimaginable loss. There are no words that can make sense of this, and I do not want to add noise where there should be care. This is about the families, and no one else.”

MBNel said he’s “moving quietly and intentionally” out of respect. “I will not be speaking on details or speculation. Rest in peace to the lives lost may their souls live on forever.”

The rapper is known for his 2020 album Born To Win and has been part of Stockton’s Hip-Hop scene for years. He was arrested in 2020 during a gang investigation, but continued making music.

Two other rappers were at the party that night. Fly Boy Dougy and NanoMB. Both were arrested on parole violations after the shooting.

Fly Boy Dougy spoke from jail about what he saw.

“I tried to help the kids,” he said in a jailhouse interview. He described chaos as gunfire erupted around children. “I didn’t see the shooters,” Dougy said. He feels cops wrongfully arrested him.

NanoMB, who hosted the birthday party for his child, remains locked up on parole violations. Neither rapper is considered a suspect in the shooting.

Both men are documented gang members who turned to rap music. Fly Boy Dougy performs as part of the Flyboy gang and has released several tracks. NanoMB also makes music but keeps a lower profile.

The shooting has torn apart families and cops have yet to make an arrest. They won’t say if they have suspects. No photos of the masked shooters have been released.

The reward money started small but keeps growing. Stockton Crime Stoppers now offers more than $100,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Diddy Yanks $61M Freak-Off Estate Off The Market In Los Angeles

Diddy has withdrawn his Beverly Hills estate from the market over a year after federal agents raided the property and prosecutors tied it to a sex trafficking case.

The 10-bedroom mansion, once listed for $61.5 million, was pulled from sale earlier this month, according to Realtor.com. Diddy tried selling the home following a March 2024 Homeland Security raid that uncovered a cache of weapons, rifle parts, sex toys and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil.

The search was part of a broader investigation into what authorities described as “freak off” parties allegedly hosted by the Hip-Hop mogul.

Prosecutors claimed the residence served as a base where Diddy used his “power and prestige” to “abuse, threaten and coerce women.” The mansion, purchased by Diddy for $39 million in 2014, became a central location in the case that ultimately led to his conviction.

In September 2024, just days before his arrest, Diddy listed the sprawling estate for sale. By then, he was already under scrutiny for a string of allegations that culminated in charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

Diddy was sentenced to four years in prison after being found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He is currently appealing the sentence.

In related news, Diddy’s sons Christian Combs and Justin Combs are front and center on a new Zeus Network reality show focused on the federal raid and criminal case tied to the case.

The series tracks their reactions to the 2024 Homeland Security searches and the sex trafficking and racketeering trial that followed. Zeus frames the show as raw access to how the brothers are handling the public fallout and legal pressure.

The brothers announced their project after 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning, posted strong numbers following its early December release.

The four-part series ranked No. 1 in several international markets for almost a month. Netflix data showed the documentary pulling in millions of views within days, driven by interest in the federal case and civil lawsuits tied to Diddy.
